Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative study was to describe the cases of the seven Bachelor of Secondary Education, majors in English students at GenSantos Foundation College, Incorporated concerning their English-speaking difficulties and the coping mechanisms they have employed to address their problems. Using a case study method, there were six essential themes found in describing the English-speaking difficulties encountered by the English major students, these themes were: lack of speaking practice, lack of word usage, fear of mistakes, unfamiliar words pronunciation, low motivation, and lack of general knowledge. On the other hand, eight essential themes were found in the coping mechanisms of the English major students, specifically, being ready, accepting feedback, practicing English, reading books, watching English movies, building self-confidence, seeking help, and taking notes. Furthermore, the study's key results may be able to help the school in designing a springboard to address the concern of the English major students concerning their experiences with speaking difficulties. Lastly, this study may help future researchers to learn and understand important information about the speaking difficulties of English major students and the effective strategies to cope with them; they may also use this study as a basis whenever they wanted to conduct related research about exploring speaking difficulties of English major students.

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the significant influence of teachers’ empowerment on the teaching performance of public secondary English school teachers in the Division of Sarangani, Philippines. A quantitative descriptive correlational method of research was employed using adapted survey questionnaires. The respondents of the study were 161 English teachers in public secondary schools. Using weighted mean, results revealed that the level of teachers’ empowerment is highly empowered, while their teaching performance is described as very satisfactory.  Using Pearson r, data revealed that there is a significant positive relationship between the teachers’ empowerment and the teaching performance of English teachers. Linear regression analysis showed that teachers’ empowerment significantly influences the teaching performance of English teachers. Trust as a domain of teachers’ empowerment was the best predictor of the teaching performance of English teachers based on the highest beta standardized coefficient value. The proposed enhancement program may be utilized to improve teachers’ empowerment and teaching performance of English teachers.

Abstract: This study was conducted to find out the composition writing errors of grade 4 pupils of Dadiangas West Central Elementary School enrolled during the school year 2017 - 2018 as basis in proposing an intervention program. This study used a descriptive survey design. Complete enumeration was used since it utilized the entire population. A writing proficiency rubric was constructed. Frequency counts and weighted mean were used as the statistical tools to interpret the gathered data. Findings of the study revealed that the respondents' most common error was committed when writing the content followed by errors on organization, grammars, and writing mechanics. Thus, a Writing Enhancement Program is proposed to eliminate the errors of the pupils in writing composition as supported by its theoretical framework, Process Genre Approach (Badger and White, 2009) that recognized the effective teaching methodology for writing needs to integrate the insights from product, process, and genre approaches.

Abstract: A satisfied employee is more motivated and shows commitment to duty. In Kenya, labour turnover in public secondary schools among agriculture teachers has been common. This situation could be related to lack of job satisfaction among these teachers. Teacher shortage in Homa-Bay County had precipitated hiring of Temporary Agriculture Teachers to alleviate the shortage however, there was little that was known about their levels of job satisfaction. This study therefore sought to analyse the job satisfaction levels of temporary agriculture teachers in public secondary schools in Homa-Bay County, Kenya. The study employed a descriptive survey design. The target population was 316 agriculture teachers employed by the Board of Management (BOM) who were in service during the study period. Proportionate stratified random sampling was used to select 176 teachers. A validated questionnaire with closed ended items was used to collect data. Data collection was preceded by a pilot test with 29 temporary agriculture teachers from Migori County, whose analysis resulted in a reliability coefficient of 0.83. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics on SPSS version 22. The study found that 84.6 percent of Temporary Agriculture Teachers in Homa-Bay County were satisfied with their jobs.

Abstract: The purpose of this phenomenological study is to describe the experiences of senior high school teachers of South Glan District, Division of Sarangani who have been implementing modular learning delivery and to look into their different perspectives. Qualitative design wearing phenomenological approach determined how these teachers made meaning of the modular learning delivery at their specific school by making analysis of the participant’s view, feeling and impacts to their lives and workplace. There were 5 participants who underwent in the in-depth interview. The generated themes revealed that senior high school teachers viewed modular learning delivery as difficulties and challenges, assessment problems, challenges and flexibility, lack of resources and distribution and retrieval problems. Regarding their feelings about the modular learning delivery, the participants conveyed that they feel the fear, exhausted, worries and burn-out. Furthermore, for the impacts of the modular learning delivery to the lives of the participants and workplace, they become sensitive and time and work oriented. The data were also compared, weighed, and linked to recent researches about modular learning delivery implementation.

Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore the experiences of RMMC employees during the COVID-19 pandemic for the school year 2021-2022. It also aimed to investigate the challenges encountered and their ways of coping with them. Ten female employees for the individual in-depth interview and another ten employees for the focused group discussion from this institution were involved in this endeavor. The results of the interview were transcribed and translated to produce core ideas and essential themes. As regards the description of lived experiences of RMMC employees during the COVID-19 pandemic the following were the essential themes: Life Became Difficult, Increased Worry, Faced Adjustment, Disrupted Normal Living, Disconnected, Deepen Covid-19 Awareness, Valued Health Consciousness, Stressful, Became Uncertain, Anxious, Frustrated, Disturbed, Challenged, Disappointed, Mixed-Emotion, Unproductive , Sad, Stressed, Happy, Grateful, At Ease, Vigilant, Employment is Still Good, Budgeting Became Necessary, Health Became Priority, Convenient Lifestyle, Embraced Change, Mentally Distracted, Negativity Increased, Adapted New Perspectives and Valued Each Moment. The study showed among others that the employees face several problems, difficulties, and challenges.

Abstract: The main objective of this machine is to remove the coconut shell and to eliminate the skilled labour involved in dehusking. The coconut outer shell is a fibrous husk one to two inches thick. This paper deals with the design and fabrication of pneumatic operated coconut dehusking machine. This project is aimed at producing an efficient and more economical machine for coconut industry. The coconut is known for its great versatility as seen in many domestic, commercial, and industrial uses of its different parts. Coconuts are different from any other fruits because they contain large quantity of tender and when immature they are known as tender-nuts or jelly-nuts and may be harvested for drinking. When they mature they still contain some water and can be used as seed nuts or processed to give oil from the kernel, charcoal from hard shell and coir from fibrous husk.

One traditional method used for coconut dehusking is using a machete. This is done by using human energy. This method is risky and tedious and yet requires skills. Hence an alternative is suggested in our project which reduces time involved in coconut dehusking and human effort. Depending upon the survey different sizes of coconut are determined. The machine is designed to accommodate different sizes of the coconut that are cultivated anywhere in the world.

Abstract: This study examined the effectiveness of contextualized learning material in teaching Mother Tongue 3. The subjects were the 33 Grade three learners of Wali Integrated School for the school year 2021-2022. The study used the single group experimental research design, particularly the one group pre-test, post-test experimental design because only one group was used in the study. The pre-test and post-test were administered to the respondents at the first and end of the first quarter before and after they had completed the contextualized learning content respectively. The researcher used a t-test in treating the data. The findings of the study reveal that contextualized learning material in teaching Mother Tongue was effective.

Abstract: This study has been undertaken to in everyday life we come across high temperature around in the room, hence there is a need of cooling mechanism to feel comfortable. In today’s world we have different media of cooling air i.e., Room Air Conditioner, Water Coolers and Fans etc. the dependency on them is so high that the energy consumption are far beyond control. The need for cooling device which consumed less power was the reason to initiate the project. The main aim of the project is to design a “SOLAR AIR COOLER”. Which work on evaporating cooling phenomenon. An evaporative cooler produces effective cooling by combining a natural process-with a simple, reliable air moving system. Fresh outside air is pulled through moist pads where it is cooled by evaporation and circulated through a house or building by a large blower. As this happens, the temperature of the outside air can be lowered as much as 10 degrees. Design of the apparatus was based upon theoretical calculations that were done on the grounds of certain basic principles of refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat and mass transfer. The whole project was concentrated in making it suitable for a small sized room with effective cooling. During the course of the project, we tried various alternatives and finally made it a DC powered device. The effective operation of the device is worth a start considering the energy saving it shows. And the need of the day is to save energy hence it shows a high prospect in modern world.

Abstract: The study aimed to determine the work values of junior high school teachers of Malungon Districts and provided necessary intervention program based on the least common work values. Cross sectional research design was utilized to gather responses from the respondents. The respondents of the study were the 187 Junior High School Teachers of the four districts of Malungon. They were chosen through a simple random technique by means of draw lots. The researcher used the Work Values Inventory developed by Donald Super. Quantitative data processing and appropriate statistical tools were used to come up at specific computation, analysis, and interpretations of results. The findings of the study were validated and interpreted by a psychometrician.  Data revealed that there was one least common work values among Junior High School Teachers of East, South and West Malungon Districts which was Management. While, Aesthetic was found to be the least common work values among Junior High School Teachers of North Malungon. Based on the results of the study, the researcher proposed an intervention program.

Abstract: The study was carried out on impact of social media on academic achievement of English Language students at Federal University of Education,  Ondo State, Nigeria. the population of the study comprised, English Language students, the sample size of the study was Two hundred (200) respondents. A simple random sampling technique was used to select fifty (50) English Language students from each of the levels (100, 200, 300 and 400), respectively. The research instrument that was used to gather date was self-designed and developed by the researcher, titled “Impact of social media on academic achievement of English Language students at Federal University of Education, Ondo, Ondo State, Nigeria”. It was fashioned on polar questions i.e Yes and No answers. The research instrument was validated by two experts in test and measurement, while its reliability was done through test retest method, at two weeks interval and 0.66 coefficient reliability was obtained. Data generated was analyzed using descriptive statistics (simple percentage, frequency counts). Based on the findings of the study, conclusions were made that social media could enhance students interest motivate abd make them to be addictive to their studies premised on the conclusions, the researcher therefore male the following recommendations; students should be encourage to be making use of social media to enhance their academic performance. Students should have access to social media devices and so on.
