Abstract:Numerous studies have conducted in different schools testing how study habits influenced academic performance. Most of them highlighted the positive correlation revealing a directly proportional to each other. In this study, however, students categorically grouped into two- the cellphone and non-cellphone Users. The intent was to measure the level of study habits. For those who possessed and without this gadget and establish a degree of correlation, whether they are significant. It is not merely on correlation; the study also measured the significant differences in the study habits and academic performance from both respondents. The cellphone users testified that “Listening attentively to the teachers’ lecture and Come to school on time” and “Ready for any exam” was their study habits’ priority. The non-cellphone Users similarly considered these habits as also their priorities. Their least concern was rendering classroom tasks completely. The study habits of both Users had found a significant difference and assumed that they executed differently on these levels. It further supported through the Mann Whitney U Test computation that dramatically arrived a significant difference. Also, in their academic performance, a significant difference was established, resulting from rejecting the null hypothesis. Based on the means, the non-users performed better than the users. The means tell why they are significant; the users had a mean of 81.75 and 85.57 for the non-users. In the correlation, the study had found out that there is a significant relationship between their study habits and academic performance for the Users. It is likely similar to the findings of the non-Users that revealed a rho (r) of 0.70 that stresses that the higher their level of study habit, the higher their academic performance in school.

Abstract:The study aimed to understand the role of play activities, as playing a significant role in the life of children with intellectual disabilities; it also aimed at using play activities that improve many aspects of growth of children with intellectual disabilities. It also has positive effects on the integration process of the children of this group with their ordinary peers in everyday activities, which helps them to be accepted, thus contributing to their greater integration into society as a whole. The researcher used the experimental method. The study sample consisted of 38 children aged between 8 and 12 who had intellectual disability in Taif, and they were randomly selected. Then they were divided into two experimental groups and a control group. The tools of the study were: Quality of life skills test (researcher preparation) - Note card for quality of life skills (researcher preparation). The study reached many results; there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the children of the experimental group on the quality of life test in the pretest and post-test. In addition, there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the children of the experimental group on the quality of life note cards in pre and post- test. The study recommended that, when using the method of education by playing, sensory, visual and audiovisual stimuli must be considered while teaching this group, also activities that match their level of intelligence must be chosen to achieve success.

Abstract:The aim of the study was to identify the perspectives of special education teachers in using technology to support learning for children with intellectual disabilities, and to identify the reality of the use of technological education teachers to support learning for children with intellectual disabilities. As well as the factors that can be used to improve the use of technology for children with intellectual disabilities. The researcher used the descriptive approach to measure the views of special education teachers in using technology to support learning for children with intellectual disabilities. The study sample consisted of (38) special education teachers who answered the study tool. The study tools consisted of a two-part questionnaire aimed at identifying the perspectives of special education teachers in using technology to support learning for children with intellectual disabilities. The society of the study consisted of all special education teachers working in special education centers both private and governmental in the city of Taif. The study reached many results, the most important of which is to identify the needs of the child with mental disability and to know the ways to satisfy them. The study also stressed that the challenges faced by special education teachers are decreasing as the teacher of special education undergoes many training courses. The researcher recommended the need to hold workshops and training courses in special education centers and learn about the latest developments in the use of technology to support learning for children with mental disabilities.

Abstract:The aim of the study was to identify and detect the trait and level of psychological Burnout among teachers of students with intellectual disabilities, and the teachers of students with autism in institutions of mental disability, and to uncover psychological and occupational stress leading to psychological Burnout, to reach some guidance methods and solutions that will help officials and employees with people Special needs in overcoming the problem of psychological Burnout. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method. The sample of the study consisted of (30) teachers of special education who answered the study tool. The researcher used the following study tools: a questionnaire for preliminary data, and a measure (Maslash and Jackson) to measure the psychological Burnout (1981) Arabic version. The study found many results, the most important of which is that the degree of psychological Burnout of teachers of students with intellectual disabilities, and teachers of students with autism in the institutes of mental disability in Riyadh found low in the two dimensions of emotional stress and lack of sense of personal achievement, And high in the sag dimension towards the students. The study also found that there were statistically significant differences in stress disorder dimension and Sagging feelings and the overall degree of psychological burnout according to the academic specialization.

Abstract:Linguistic expressions are very deeply rooted in the social, cultural and religious traditions of that linguistic community. It always poses a problem for the translator to find a proper translation equivalent for these expressions. J.C. Catford mentions two types of untranslatability: linguistic untranslatability and cultural untranslatability. This paper will examine these two types of untranslatability with specific reference to some culture-specific expressions of salutations and greetings in the context of Bangla to English translation. It will also try to suggest some strategies to cope with the problem.

Abstract:  Public Examination is a big challenge faced by students in the education system. It is very difficult to predict the outcome of examination. Many times the students are not interested and serious about their studies. This study examines the difficulties in facing the Public Examination among standard X students. The main objective of the study is to find out the significant difference, if any, in the difficulties in facing the Public Examination among standard X students with regard to personal and institutional variables. This study was conducted among 399 students in Tirunelveli district. The Survey method was adopted for data collection and was analysed using simple random sampling technique.  The finding of the study revealed that three-fifth of the X standard students is facing low level of problem. There was significant difference in the basis of locality of residence and medium of school. There was no significant difference in the basis of gender and locality of school.

Abstract:Scattering of Tamils across the globe is not of a recent phenomenon. This scattering was started with cultural trade and later with slavery in age old days. However this trend was changed with the imperial system introducing new labour system through which large scale human migration has occurred across the new Islands. Indentured labour was one such system provided labour migration during the early 19th century under colonial authority. Abolition of slavery in 1834 engendered the labour requirement which ultimately caused mass migration from India to the British colonies.
Today Indians form a largest community in all parts of the world. This particular research explores the ways in which Indians have migrated to Malaya peninsular and will try to make an attempt to understand the process of Tamil Migration from South India to Malaysia under various migratory systems under the purview of colonial regulations. The vital aspect of this study is to make a detail examination of the Tamil Distinctive cultural festival known as Thaipusam and proceeding to understand Kavadi ritual procession.

Abstract:Internet is a global linking of computer for information transfer. Internet usage becomes common activity of children and adults. Problems arising from excessive internet use have been documented worldwide including India. Aggression is the feeling of anger often harmful, social interaction with the intention of inflicting damage upon another individual. This study examines the impact of internet usage on aggressive behaviour of standard IX students. The sample of the study comprised of 282 students studying in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu. Simple random sampling technique was used to select sample from the population. The survey method was employed for collecting data. The collected data was analysed and made inferences. It was found that there was no significance relation between Internet usage and Aggressive behaviour of class IX students.

Abstract:Attitude plays an important role in shaping the thinking and delivering capacity of the individual concerned. This study examines the attitude of primary school teachers working in Tirunelveli district towards using digital links in the textbooks of standard I. The main objective of the study was to find out the significant difference, if any, in the attitude of the primary teachers towards using digital links in the textbooks with regard to personal and institutional variables. A sample of 300 primary school teachers from various schools in Tirunelveli was derived by simple random sampling technique. The findings of the study revealed that there was no significant difference in the attitude of primary teachers towards using digital links in the textbooks with regard to personal and institutional variables.

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of strategic planning on performance of CDF projects in Vihiga County; the study was supported by the Theory of change whose layout analysis of outcomes of a project deliverables resembles the logical framework model. Descriptive survey design was used. The survey was conducted in Vihiga County, constituencies namely: Emuhaya, Luanda, Hamisi, Sabatia and Vihiga. A complete survey involving all 80 committee members from all the CDF projects was done. Data was collected using predesigned questionnaires. The study received responses from 80 respondents forming a response rate of 100%. Data obtained was cleaned, coded and analyzed using spss 21software. Multiple regressions model/analysis was used to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variable. The results were presented using inferential statistics such as the Pierson correlation coefficients, comparative tables and percentages. Findings emanating from this study will be of great importance to all the direct and indirect stakeholders who play key roles in ensuring the ultimate accomplishment of the devolved fund-CDF and further realization of the Kenya Vision 2030 development blue print. The regression model showed Strategic planning (P = 0.119) had no significant influence on the level of project completion and project performance. From the findings it can be concluded that budgetary parameters influence the performance of Constituency development funded projects in Vihiga County.

The influence of use of project tools was correlated with the performance of CDF projects in Vihiga County. It has Pearson Correlation index of 0.020. This means that the use of project tools have slight significance on performance of CDF projects in Vihiga County. The interpretation of correlation co-efficient shows that use of project tools has a significant influence on performance of CDF projects in Vihiga County because the P value was 0.023 or P< 0.05. From the findings it can be concluded that project management tools parameters influence the performance of Constituency development funded projects in Vihiga County.
