Abstract: Mental health of the learner is very important for efficient learning and proper development of personality. The main objective of the present study was to assess the levels of mental health and gender differences of Arts and Engineering students of colleges of Vijayapur, Karnataka. Mental Health Inventory was administered on students with Socio-demographic sheet. ‘t’ test was carried for statistical analysis and interpretation. The results clearly revealed that Engineering students are found to have higher mental health than Arts students. Significant gender differences in mental health are also noted in the present investigation.

Abstract: Mindfulness is the mental state that involves being fully focused on the “now.” It is an acceptance of our thoughts, feelings and sensations without judgement. This study aimed to understand and analyze mindfulness of post-graduation students of arts and science background and also to identify the effect of the demographic variables on the mindfulness. To study the same, total sample of 120 Science and Arts students consisting of male and female samples were included in the study. To measure their mindfulness levels constructed by Ryan Brown and Fred Bryant respectively were administered for the subjects. For the obtained raw score, mean and SD was calculated in each groups. Later independent ‘t’ test was carried out to find the difference between the comparative groups. The main finding of the present study reveals that there is no significant difference between arts and science students on mindfulness. But, there is significant difference in mindfulness between Arts male and Science male students. Science male students have high mindfulness than Arts male students.

Abstract: To investigate the causes of criminal activities and drug abuse among shila boys (youths) in in Yola North Local Government, Adamawa State Nigeria a, descriptive purposive survey was used. The research was guided by two objectives and two research questions. Pre-tested and validated questionnaires were issued to fifty-two shila boys. The questionnaires were collected and the data was analysed using Chi-Square test. The result showed that there was no significant difference in the age groups (p > 0.05), also there was significant difference in terms of gender involvement in criminal acts (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the result showed that there was a significant difference in terms of birth order involvement in crimes (p < 0.05). Again, it was revealed from the research that there was no significant difference on the influence of parents’ occupation on youths’ involvement in crimes (p > 0.05). Once again, it was revealed from the research that there was a significant difference on the level of education on shila boys’ involvement in crimes (p < 0.05). Result on causes of drug abuse among shila boys revealed that there was a significant difference in the causes of drug abuse among shila boys (p < 0.05).Result on the causes of crimes among shila boys showed that there was a significant difference on the effects of criminal activities of shila boys in Yola North (p < 0.05). In conclusion, drug abuse among shila boys and their criminal activities of in Yola North pose great threats not only to the socio-economic activities but the lives of inhabitants of Yola North LGA and a threat to the actualization Sustainable Development Goals, especially to goal 1 (No Poverty); goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing); goal 8 (Decent work and economic growth); goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions); as such, the criminal activities of shila boys must be nipped from the bud.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the current situation of sports construction in some universities in Sichuan Province, and discusses the development mode of physical education in universities. The investigation found that at present, physical education depends on teacher management, the management platform is single, and each link has not formed effective interconnection. Based on the research, it is proposed that digital technology should be used to coordinate the physical education teaching resources, methods, management mode, evaluation system and service system, promote the digital transformation, and build a comprehensive, interconnected, safe and efficient teaching mode. At the same time, the guiding ideology, significance, ideas, conditions, measures and effects of the construction of the digital model have been deeply demonstrated. It is expected to provide reference for the digital construction of university sports and promote the development of undertakings.

Abstract: Knowledge of preventive measures of chronic kidney disease can assist in the disease reduction and incidence of complications. If people are aware of the risk factors for developing chronic kidney disease, they may engage in or adopt certain lifestyle changes that can prevent or delay development of chronic kidney disease and its complications. The objective of the study was designed to determine the knowledge of preventive measures of chronic kidney disease among secondary school teachers in Anambra State. Six purposes and research questions and five hypotheses guided the study. The research design to be adopted for this study is the cross-sectional survey design; the area of this study is Anambra State of Nigeria; the population of the study comprised of all 276 public secondary schools in Anambra State; the population of the teachers in all the schools was 6337. The sample size was 399 teachers both male and female; this was determined using the 'Yaro Yamane' formula for a finite population. The instrument for data collection for this study was a knowledge test which was adapted and developed from two validated knowledge tests. The data collected were checked for reliability using Kudder Richardson (K-R 20) method and the reliability coefficient was 0.727, and therefore acceptable for the study. Means and standard deviation was used to answer the research questions. The research hypotheses were tested using t- test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 level of significance. The result of the study showed that the teachers had high mean knowledge score of the preventive measures of CKD. Based on the findings, conclusions and recommendations were made; Continuous teaching through health education is needed for teachers in the urban areas to increase their knowledge of CKD; as well as continuous health education among the teachers in the rural areas to sustain their high knowledge of CKD also Teacher should on their own seek for information on CKD as it will benefit them as well as people around them.

Abstract: Determined to develop further, Jordan signed some bilateral agreements regarding foreign labor welfare. The said agreements, such as the one with the United Arab Emirate (UAE) which regulates the job contracts and grants some labor rights for the Jordanians, or with Germany which facilitates the access of Jordanian professionals to the German economy and education, paved the way to apply pressure on their foreign labor labor-markets. Moreover, foreign professionals are generally not covered by the Jordanian Labor Law, as their labor contracts rely on the foreign law and regulations. Likewise, the jobs of the top executive-level, which are approximated at $2,340 USD, are also excluded from the legal framework. Domestic workers are generally not protected as the domestic labor market is not regulated, through what is known as social exclusion and other forms of human rights violations. On top of that, forced labor and human trafficking continues to occur under different forms and schemes; the new legislations, legal frameworks and penalties are drafted and enforced to limit this phenomenon which is generally targeted to foreign workers.

Abstract: This study delves into the implementation of Self-Determination Theory (SDT) in the realm of home-based learning, underscoring its potential to substantially elevate educational achievements and support all-encompassing learner development. Amidst the rising trend of home-based learning, fueled by global educational hurdles and technological progress, there emerges a crucial demand for educational frameworks that enhance intrinsic motivation and address the holistic development of learners. SDT, with its focus on satisfying the core psychological needs of autonomy, competence, and relatedness, provides a robust foundation for boosting motivation, engagement, and educational results in a home-based learning environment. Through an extensive examination of SDT principles and their application in home-based learning, this paper offers a practical guide for both parents and educators. It outlines strategies for establishing a learning ambiance that promotes learner autonomy, cultivates competence, and nurtures a sense of belonging and relatedness. The paper concludes with a discussion on the implications of employing an SDT-guided approach to home-based learning for future educational practices and research, presenting avenues for further investigation in the domain of remote and customized learning environments. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on effective home-based learning methodologies, presenting insights and strategies that prioritize learner needs and foster self-directed, impactful learning experiences.

Abstract: Traditionally, trade has been dominated by men. Data and trends show that women have not been able to enter freely into the world of trade due to constraints that have blocked their participation. Despite the fact that women have always participated in economic activities in several ways and in different parts of the world, their contribution has not been given due recognition. It is only during the last decade or so that women's work has been acknowledged and identified as a significant factor in economic development. This is also true in Jordan. The culture of "trade" automatically brings to mind the image of men. However, the past two decades have seen many changes in the culture of trade and given the government's willingness to further develop the country, it is creating more opportunities for women to enter into trade. These changes are consistent with the general changing trend in the status and role of women in society and their increasing participation in national development. Women are increasingly responsible for contributing financially to their families and are taking on roles to help develop communities they are in and provide better chances for survival for their family and their children. However, despite willingness, women in Jordan are not realizing their full potential in trade due to the presence of several obstacles.

Abstract: It is a common conception to assume that corporations and companies have the responsibility of ensuring their actions are legal under the laws of the state and that they are held liable if they do not. However, the ability of a corporation to commit a crime and be held criminally liable has been a major issue in many legal systems over the years. Corporations are entities, which act through individuals to commit acts which in turn have the effect of providing a product or service to the end consumer. At times it may be that the product or service provided has caused harm, for example, a pharmaceutical company selling drugs that cause illness or injury to the end consumer. Or the methods used to provide a product or service may be unlawful, for example, tax evasion or avoiding health and safety regulations. And as to punish the corporate body itself would be impossible, it has commonly been the case that individual directors have been charged with the common law offenses, such as those of assault, manslaughter, or fraud, to provide an alternative method of punishing the corporation.

Abstract: A major concern for most nations in the world has been the increasing level of crime and violence. Jordan is no exception to this trend, with the amount and types of crime having been on a steady increase since the 1980s. Interestingly, in Jordan there is no official study for the rate of crime, however the crime and victimization survey conducted in 2000 found that about 40.3% of households had experienced some form of crime. This shows a sharp increase from the previous survey conducted in 1993 showing an experience level of 30.6%. Whilst there is a big difference in the figures themselves due to an inability to define what crime is, the increase in victimization rate for households is an indication of increasing criminal activity. This increase has led to a greater interest in understanding criminal activity in order to prevent it. Economic crimes have become one of the most prevalent and damaging forms of crime in the world. Due to the increase in globalization, economic crimes are especially difficult to prevent as they may affect a nation without directly occurring within it. Economic crime has damaged the economic system of Jordan on both a micro and macro level, destroying businesses, increasing unemployment rates and damaging the government and public infrastructure. The understanding of this damaging effect has led to an increased interest in the study of economic crimes in Jordan. This essay will aim to provide a thorough explanation of the types and rates of economic crime in Jordan, the laws and regulations preventing these crimes and a thorough analysis of these laws and their effectiveness. This topic is especially important for Jordan as an understanding of the laws and their effectiveness can provide insight as to how economic crimes may be prevented, providing a method to repair the damage already caused.

Abstract: Artificial intelligence is expected to aid the global patent system in various different ways. This will be a natural progression from the current system in which the classification and search of prior art represents an essential stage of patent examination. Throughout this process, successful examination relies on the skill of the examiner to identify highly relevant prior art for a particular application. However, prior art documents can be difficult to find and the volume of information available can be overwhelming. This is especially true in technical fields where patents are often written in highly specific, jargon-laden language. In these circumstances, an AI system that could quickly and accurately identify and classify relevant prior art would be an invaluable tool for examiners.

This article will explore the areas in which artificial intelligence (AI) will impact the global patent system. These areas include the utilization of AI as a tool to process patent data in order to aid patent examination, the proposition that AI might become a creator of patentable inventions, and that AI may also impact how patents are enforced. AI is an area of computer science that looks to create systems that can perform tasks that would normally require human intelligence. This encompasses a diverse range of abilities including visual perception, speech recognition, decision making, and translation between languages. AI systems can take various forms ranging from simple tools to expert systems designed to emulate human decision making.

Abstract: Criticism of the definition aside, companies in the current market are essential for economic growth and enterprise. The private or civil company is the most common form and will be dealt with for the essay unless otherwise stated. These companies are often micro or small to medium-sized enterprises. These are the lifeblood of the economy in Jordan. SMEs are often concerned about legal obligations and relative costs, some commenting that the legal obligations are too costly (Com Volenti, 2004). The relative cost is a perception that is gaining weight with the recent amendment to the Law on Income Tax of A Companies, 5th December 2015. This law will suspend tax exemptions for companies with capital of less than JD30,000 and offering 50% tax reduction to companies with capital working in Aqaba or development regions. This represents an estimated 90% of companies and does not take into account income as a measure of tax affordability. Growing enterprises now have more tax obligations.

Overview of commercial companies and importance of prosecuting them is stated in many parts of the Jordanian Companies Law. In this essay, a critical examination taking into account practicality of these statements will show that this area of the law is both crucial and highly significant in the current economic climate in Jordan. Companies are defined in the law (article 2) as "a contract between two or more persons to carry on a particular commercial enterprise and divide the profit therefrom." This encompasses the full spectrum of business practice in today's market. It is submitted that this definition needs to be clarified and expanded to give a more comprehensive guideline as to what is considered a commercial enterprise. It is suggested that such guidelines could help both the business community and the public at large to know what is classified as such an enterprise to facilitate investment for growth of the economy.

Abstract: In August 2011, Jordan became the first Arab country to have a "country level" domain on the internet, with the domain .jo. Many Jordanians have spent hundreds and perhaps thousands of hours on this internet, yet many have been oblivious to the upward movement of e-commerce. It has come to a point where many companies have begun to make use of services such as eBay to sell goods overseas. The Royal Jordanian has a website in which to purchase airflight tickets, and lately there have been more and more food industry businesses investing in services to order food online.

Using the internet for various tools and platforms has become an important aspect of life for many people. It has become a way to manage lifestyles, work, and scholastic life. It is also a way in which to communicate in today's culture. Electronic commerce, or e-commerce, has developed along the way to adapt these practices. E-commerce is defined as "the conduct of commerce in goods and services, with the assistance of telecommunications and telecommunications-based tools such as the internet" (Wikipedia - Electronic Commerce). E-commerce has developed so much in the way the sales transactions are no longer just going up to a vendor and purchasing items, it has become more of a lifestyle for many people.

Abstract: Purpose of the paper: One of the social challenges in the modern business environment that is connected to value systems and worldviews is global leadership. The phrase "worldview" refers to a collection of moral principles, values, and beliefs that shape a variety of social facets, such as how to resolve conflicts in society and how people see their place in it. Abstract: Objectives: This study aimed to elucidate the implications of using and integrating artificial intelligence techniques in the process of managerial decision-making. Specifically, it focused on the impact of algorithms on the general concept of managerial decision-making, which revealed a novel depiction of decision-making known as "algorithmic managerial decision-making".

Methodology: In this study, we will use the analytical approach and the descriptive approach of administrative legislation related to the subject of the study.

Results: This study reached a number of results centered on the importance and necessity of introducing and adapting artificial intelligence techniques of all kinds and forms in the administrative decision-making process.

Recommendations: This study reached a number of results, the most important of which is the recommendation of the Jordanian legislator to make amendments to the legislation governing the process of issuing administrative decisions in a way that allows the use of artificial intelligence techniques - especially algorithms in that process, similar to what he previously did by allowing resort to electronic means in that process.
