Abstract: This study examines the nature, scope and sources of the law of labour relations with particular reference to Nigeria in juxtaposition with the narrower confines of Nigerian labour law. Through the utilization of the doctrinal method, an appraisal of the common law origins of industrial relations and employment contract predilections in the general law of contract, this study finds that the law of labour relations finds wide applicability within and outside conventional employment relationships. This study also surmises that reliance upon common law and colonial aphorisms of labour relations has negated the effects of a relativist approach to the enactment of labour legislations. The constitutional tethering of labour legislative activism in the Exclusive Legislative List and Concurrent is detrimental to progressive labour law and labour rights initiatives in the Nigerian legal system. The 2010 Third Amendment of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria notwithstanding, this study further finds the outdated and outmoded labour legislations implicit in the Nigerian statutory terrain inimical to dynamism in labour relations. This study consequentially recommends a reappraisal of the law of industrial relations in Nigeria in line with the dynamism of international legal standards.

Abstract: In criminal law jurisprudence, punishment of an offender is usually secured after conviction following a successful prosecution based on evidence. The conviction of an offender can be secured by evidence from a single witness with or without corroborated. In Nigeria, evidence on issues of carnal knowledge, capacity, consent, corroboration and limitation period remain challenging in securing conviction of an offender in sexual offences. This work examines the challenging issues on sexual offences in Nigerian criminal law jurisprudence. The work made use of the doctrinal methodology and found that: (i) having canal knowledge of the victim is sacrosanct in securing the conviction of an offender in sexual offence cases; (ii) there is absence of a provision on the age limits at which a female offender maybe held incapable of committing sexual offence; (iii) absent of consent before penetration is very germane in cases of sexual offence; (iv) the law requires evidence of corroboration in only specific named sexual offences for conviction of an offender; and (v) there is a time limit within which an offender can be prosecuted for committing sexual offence. Accordingly this work recommends that a provision on age limits at which a female offender maybe held incapable of committing sexual offence should be expressly provided in the law; the court should not insist on evidence of corroboration in sexual offences where such evidence is not required by law; and, the limitation of time for prosecution of offenders of sexual offences should be expunged from the Criminal Code Act and or any other law.

Abstract: This study entitled Inclusive co-curricular activities and students social learning development in Twelve Years Basic Education with reference to Nyanza District. The results of this research will help school leaders, education policy makers, students, teachers and different persons involved in education activities in Rwanda. Research design was descriptive survey and correlation design. The target population was 492 respondents including 12 head teachers, 120 teaching staff members and 360 learners, 221 persons were sampled and the research instruments were questionnaires and interview guided. Stratified random sampling technique was used for different strata, to determine to whom the questionnaire were given; respondents were selected randomly within each stratum. Quantitative data were performed using descriptive statistics and the SPSS version 22. .The findings showed that the majority of the respondents agreed that the co-curricular activities develop students’ social learning development. More than 80% respondents were agreed that the co-curricular activities in twelve years basic education schools improved students’ social learning development where through interaction and sharing discussions students build their capacity in casualization. Also the researcher has identified the factors of extra activities in twelve years basic education schools for students’ social learning development, where the respondents and more that 77.1% agreed that the factors were leadership skills, teamwork, unity and reconciliation and contributed to the social learning development of the learners. As recommendations; the Ministry of Education recommended to encourage the schools to value the co-curricular activities as the catalysts of the other courses and the District of Nyanza was encouraged to motivate all students participation in the co-curricular activities so as to learn effectively while the school leaders and teachers should always encourage learners participation in given activities actively in order to allow them following their lessons and learning in groups.

Abstract: The study intended to evaluate the contribution of development partners’ activities on students learning outcomes in Basics Education Public Schools of Kicukiro District-Rwanda. Specifically, this research assessed the effect of development partners in basic education public schools in Kicukiro District, Rwanda; to assess the level of learning outcomes in basic education public schools in Kicukiro, Rwanda; the researcher adopted the descriptive survey design with quantitative and qualitative methods of collection and analyzing data. The study population comprised 272 from which a sample size of 162 was determined using Yamane formula including 154 teachers, and 8 head teacher and local leaders. The researcher used simple randomly sampling to select the teachers of basic education public schools, and purposively for selecting head teachers and sector educational officials. This study used the questionnaire and interview guide to gather information. Information was analysed descriptively in the term of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation correlational analysis was given by multiple regression through statistical product and service solution. The findings showed that there were effects of the development partners in the promotion of the learning outcomes of the students in basic education schools and confirmed by 54.5% responded agree and 30% responded strongly agree that development partners provide seminars to child right awareness, education fund for teaching, respondents also confirmed that developments partners activities have increased the performance of students and learning outcome at higher level in basic education schools by providing services that boost education outcomes through  teaching and learning materials such as education technology devices like computers, tablets, internet, e-books, and train the users how to use them in basic education schools of Rwanda. The researcher recommended that the Ministry of Education should use different strategies to mobilize developments partners and allocate them with the areas of priorities; the district of Kicukiro through the department partners “JADF” should identify the areas that need focus before allowing them engaging in the activities.

Abstract: Leiomyomas, or uterine fibroids as they are commonly known, are mostly seen in women of reproductive age. However, they can go undetected in most women, and approximately 25% of women show clinical symptoms. Although fibroids are a global burden impacting 80% of premenopausal women, they are more prevalent among Black women than among women of other races. The design of this study was a survey design. The population of the study comprised of 293 400level female undergraduate students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University. The instrument is titled Knowledge of Uterine Fibroids among Female Undergraduate Student (KUFFUS). Results showed that Female undergraduate students in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Anambra State are knowledgeable about uterine fibroid also, Female undergraduate students in Nnamdi Azikiwe agreed on the signs of uterine fibroid. Conclusion and recommendations were made that there should be seminars to enlighten women on the scientific and medically approved best practices in fibroid management in order to correct the erroneous speculations and beliefs among religious women and the public at large.

Abstract: The Assessment of land use and land cover change is important for the development of a policy by the government. Land cover change is still a very interesting and hot topic in todays world even in Mizoram. For supporting decision-making processes, identifying LULCC and comprehending the underlying forces are crucial. We examined and analyze the changing variation of land use and land cover during the period of 2000 to 2020 using Three Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) 4-5 C1 level-1 satellite imagery for 2000, 2010 and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS C1 level-1 imagery for 2020. Accuracy assessment were taken out and land cover changed was also calculated using ArcMap 10.4. The results showed that there were a lot of changing in the LULC classes. During 2000 to 2020, agriculture land decreased by 8.78%, Barren land increased by 7.89%, Built-up land increased by 21.52%, Dense Forest decreased by 34.71%, Medium Dense Forest increased by 3.83%, Open Forest increased by 19.4% and waterbody decreased by 9.14%. Therefore, land use and land cover change should be given some in-depth interest for the future generations.

Abstract: Most of the sub-Saharan African countries’ health sectors finances heavily depend on health development assistance from developed countries (external donors) and these health aids tend to be highly fluctuated during economic and financial crises, economic downturns and meltdown. All these unforeseen circumstances result into instability in the health aids channel into the region and this seems to pose a danger of lower long-run growth in health sectors and ultimately, resulting into poor human development indicators in the region. In sub-Saharan African countries (SSACs), its indices of human capital development are among the worst at a global space despite being the largest health development assistance recipients in the world.  Employing the panel constructed data set of twenty (20) sub-Saharan African countries from 1990-2021; and impulse response function and forecast error variance decomposition, this paper investigates how fluctuations in health development assistance affect health outcome indicator proxy life expectancy at birth (LEB) in SSACs. The results indicate that health development assistance fluctuations or shocks have positive effect on LEB and have a significant variance decomposition on LEB in the region. This signals that health development assistance fluctuations or shocks are either compulsory or sufficient to describe the transformations that occur in the health outcome indicator of the region. The study concludes that health development assistance fluctuations improve LEB marginally in the region. The study recommends among others, promotions of domestic factors; restructuring and annual increments of public expenditure allocations to the health sectors by various governments of the region.

Abstract: This study proposes an innovative approach to public health in disaster scenarios by investigating the insights and expertise of disaster experts. By interviewing 30 disaster experts, this research aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the critical factors influencing public health during and after disasters. The methodology for this study involves conducting in-depth interviews with a diverse group of experts, comprising emergency responders, public health officials, researchers, and policymakers. Through a structured interview protocol, the experts will be probed about their experiences, observations, and recommendations regarding public health strategies in disaster situations. The data collected from these interviews will be analyzed using a thematic analysis approach to identify recurring themes, patterns, and key findings. This analysis will help identify innovative approaches, best practices, and potential challenges faced by public health systems in disaster response and recovery. Furthermore, it will shed light on the strategies and interventions that can enhance preparedness, mitigate the adverse effects on public health, and facilitate a swift recovery in the aftermath of disasters. The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on public health in disasters by providing valuable insights from experienced professionals. The results will be used to develop evidence-based recommendations for public health authorities, emergency management agencies, and policymakers to improve disaster response plans and strengthen public health systems. Ultimately, this research aims to foster resilience and enhance the overall well-being of communities facing the challenges of natural or man-made disasters.

Abstract: We live in an era of rapid change moving towards the information/knowledge/network society and ICT is the major drive towards achieving this goal and the use of ICT in urban and regional planning is a new perspective which is posing great challenge to the planning practitioners and students in the various planning institutions. Abstract: This in-depth analysis of the literature examines the most recent findings on diversity in counselor education. More approaches to teaching counselors are shown by discussing ethnocentrism in practice, research, and the assessment of intercultural skills. The study advises adopting the interaction for learning framework (ILF) as a tool to examine bias and, in the end, make counselor education programs more multiculturally competent as a logical, pedagogical strategy to introduce intercultural contact into courses. The report covers the course's content, teaching strategies, student learning outcomes when the ILF is used to counseling. Faculty, aspiring counselors, and community-based practitioners are all urged to consider how self-awareness, knowledge, and skills might be used to provide counseling services that are sensitive to cultural differences.

Abstract: The novel Corona virus disease 2019 (Covid19) pandemic was unprecedented and resulted in unwarranted challenges to all aspects of life and affected different sectors around the globe. The worst affected have been the poor, particularly those in developing nations like Zimbabwe where the capability to cope is limited. Different socio-economic sectors were affected including health, tourism, manufacturing and education. This paper explores the disruptions of Covid19 on the education sector in Zimbabwe; focusing on the adopted online teaching and learning method and their effectiveness within a group of cluster primary schools.

At the onset of the pandemic in 2020, decisions were taken that grinded most socio-economic sectors to a halt and paralysed day to day activities. This created a “new normal’’ whereby people had to predominantly work and interact remotely. Consequently, learning became remote and schools across the world resorted to digital platforms as an intervention approach to continue with the dissemination of learning.

Whilst online learning is no longer a trend in developing countries but has since become vital especially for higher education, it is a foreign concept in most developing nations and particularly for primary schools. As such, online learning in the wake of Covid19 in the context of a rural community where the poor, marginalised, vulnerable, and people with disabilities (PWD) are part of the society should be interrogated. Where learning resources exist, the development of online learning methods permits a smooth transition to maximise learning opportunities. On the same notion, in cases where institutions have meagre resources, students are excluded from benefiting due to scarce resources that work with Information Communication Technology (ICT).

In this regard, this paper sort to find out the successes and challenges encountered by primary schools in Zimbabwe in the implementation of online teaching during the Covid19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022. A survey was conducted with the Mhanya cluster schools which are made up of four primary schools. From the schools, 12 primary school teachers and four headmasters were engaged for the study as well as twenty-four grade seven learners. The study revealed that the continuous lockdowns and closure of schools due to covid19 hit hard on the convectional mode of instruction to learning hence the introduction of online learning platforms. However, access to online learning was limited due to barriers like; lack of access to ICT tools and infrastructure by rural and marginalised children which saw this cohort of learners getting total exclusion throughout the Covid19 era.

Abstract: Suicide is a sombre public health predicament amongst youths globally which often results from psychological, social, emotional and economic factors. This study investigated life satisfaction and social maladjustment as predictors of suicidal ideation among undergraduate students, with one hundred (100) undergraduate students with the age range of 17-45 years, mean of 22.02, a standard deviation of 3.38 selected as participants’ from four faculties of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) which include; twenty-eight (28) from Applied Nature Sciences, twelve (12) from Law, thirty-two (32) from Management Sciences and twenty-eight (28) from Social Sciences and Humanities, using multiple-stage sampling techniques. Neugarten, Havinghurst and Tobin (1961), Life Satisfaction Index Wiggins (1966), social maladjustment scale Beck, Steer and Ranieri (1988), Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation were used for data collection; this is cross sectional research design and multiple hierarchy regression was adopted for data analysis. Findings of this study revealed that social maladjustment did not predict suicidal ideation among undergraduate; sig. = .145, at p<.05 life satisfaction also did not predict suicidal ideation among undergraduate; sig. = .527, at p<.05, social maladjustment and life satisfaction did not jointly predict suicidal ideation among undergraduate; sig. f-change =.284 at p<.05. The result was in congruity with cognitive behavioural theory which postulated that the way people acquire and interpret information impact on their choices and behaviours matters. Therefore, students are encouraged to remain always ositive in their thinking to avert suicidal ideation irrespective of the circumstances around them.

Abstract:  A syndrome is a group of symptoms which consistently occur together or a condition characterized by a set of associated syndrome. Experts in the field of medicine, health education and other related fields have discovered that menopause is the normal cessation of menstruation as a result of decline in ovarian function in a woman between ages 45-55. It is a major transitional period in the life of every woman which commences as a series of body changes that can last for years to end the reproductive cycle of a woman. The purpose of this study is to examine menopausal syndrome and its health implications among women in Ekiti-State. Population for the study consisted of all women in Ekiti-State out of which one hundred  were selected for the study using simple random sampling technique. The instrument was a structured questionnaire which was used to elicit information from the respondents. Two research questions and two null hypothesis were generated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. Data collected were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics of frequency counts and chi-square findings revealed that menopausal syndrome has both physical and psychological effects in the lives of women. Conclusion was drawn on the need to increase the level of awareness of women on the health implications of menopausal syndrome.

Abstract: Education developed from human struggle for survival and enlightenment. It is an act of acquiring skill passed on from generation to generation for the development and comfort of mankind. Generally education has been developing at all levels hence the need to fortify and sustain it with the help of guidance and counseling. Guidance and counseling programme in secondary schools includes bringing to the students an increased understanding of the educational, vocational and social information needed to make wise choices in life. It is a form of education which the students receive from their school counselors in order to eliminate overwhelming ignorance on their career choices/prospects and personality maladjustment among school children. Therefore it is recommended that guidance and counseling be included in the school time table for it to be effective and impact on the life of our youths.

Abstract: Purpose:Combined with the theory of the previous plate cycle research and its application in the physical training of sports teams, actively explore the application scheme and effect of the plate cycle theory in the physical training of chinese professional men's football teams, find the problems in the physical training of professional clubs and put forward suggestions.Methods:Using literature data method, expert interview method, experimental method and mathematical statistics, etc. In the preparatory physical training plan of Sichuan Minzu Football Club, for the 2021 chinese FA cup match and the 2021-2022 season China Football Second Division League, the physical fitness data of the team members before and after the training were collected for comparison and analysis. Results: 1.4 weeks aerobic and strength small cycle plus 2 weeks strength and aerobic small cycle constitute the accumulation cycle of the physical training; 4 weeks explosive force small cycle constitutes the conversion cycle; 1 week maximum speed and tactical training small cycle constitute the realization cycle.2. From the comparison of the physical test results before and after the training, the sensitive test results improved significantly, statistically significant (p <0.01), the 10 m acceleration, 30 m acceleration, vertical jump test and yo-yo test results also increased to varying degrees, and the hypothesis test showed statistical significance (p <0.05). Conclusion:The application of the plate cycle theory in this physical training is more scientific and reasonable, which can relatively effectively improve the physical quality of football players. Suggestions: Strengthen the monitoring of athletes' physical quality, widely promote the use of periodic training plans in football preparation, diversify and tailor periodic physical training plans and combine training with the state of athletes, so as to make the training more reasonable, scientific and systematic.

Abstract: This paper examines and thoroughly analyzes the role of the strategy for the sustainability of cultural-educational units in the time of crisis. At a theoretical level, the schools of strategic thinking are analyzed and the stages of the strategic plan are developed. Then, the application of the theory to an existing museum, which has a cultural and at the same time educational role, is examined with an emphasis on the aims and objectives of its strategic plan, as well as the evaluation of its advantages and disadvantages.

The following paper deals with the concept of strategy and its main approaches, from the classical to the modern view and describes the basics elements. The role and necessity of strategic planning is analyzed through plans for the sustainability of cultural-educational units, especially in times of crisis. Concluding the theoretical part, the stages of development of the strategy of a cultural unit are described. Then the case of the Benaki Museum is studied. The development stages of the strategic plan are examined based on the museum's strategic plan for the years 2012-2015, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as the aims and objectives of the museum's strategy in the time of crisis.

Abstract: This paper investigated the governance challenges issues in the Education system and management of primary schools in Borama State, Somaliland and proposed prudent interventions to these challenges.The main objective of this research was to examine the relationship between ineffective resource management, a lack of accountability and non- participatory decision making in the management of primary schools in Borama state , Somaliland. The study used historical and descriptive analysis method in the study, with reference from both primary and secondary data related to this study. The study revealed that there was a negative and insignificant relationship between poor resources management, lack of accountability, non -participatory decision-making, and management of primary schools in Somaliland. It was recommended that the government should intervene to ensure effective management of the resources, accountability, as well as fostering the voice of citizens through participatory decision-making towards the realization of prudent management of primary schools in Somaliland.

Abstract: The study explored possible effects of partial implementation of negotiation outcomes on performance of civil servants in Kwara State, Nigeria. Using descriptive survey research design, the 382 respondents used for the study were drawn from different stratum of civil servants in Kwara state, Nigeria. Stratified, proportionate and convenience sampling techniques were used at different stages of the study. Primary data used for the study were collected through semi-structured questionnaire and were analysed using mean, standard deviation and Logit model. The findings of the study revealed a negative but significant relationship between partial implementation of negotiation outcomes and performance of civil servants in Kwara State, Nigeria. It recommends that government and other employers of labour should ensure full implementation of negotiation outcomes to encourage worker’s full commitments to their jobs thereby enhancing their performance. Also, both parties to negotiation should come with clean and open minds to the negotiation table.
