Abstract: Monitoring of staff performance in any organization has been a challenge for over time. With new advancement and technology adoption, organizations are now making use of biometric system to monitor staff arrival times and control movements within departments. The manual methods of signing in attendance sheet, register and swiping an Id card has proven inefficient as they are time consuming and rigorous.  It is also difficult to determine who signed for which staff since employees tend to sign for their fellow colleagues as a way of covering one another. Biometric fingerprint identification has been adopted locally, regionally and internationally so that it can help organization rate the performance of employees when they come in for work and when they live as well as those who work overtime. The research looked at the effect of staff validation on organizational performance: a case study of Southern Eastern Kenya University. The study objectives included: The effect of level of security on organization performance and effect of staff authentication on organization performance. The research design was descriptive in nature and the sample size of ninety respondents was drawn by use of simple random sampling. Data was analyzed by use of inferential and descriptive statistics using statistical packages for social sciences version 24.0. Findings were tabulated and results indicated that staff validation had a significant effect on organization performance with a p-value of 0.000 which led to employees to perform their organizational activities within schedule. The study recommends that the institutions should invest on purchase of more scanners and putting them at strategic places which are convenient for everyone to be able to access and hence save time. There should also be further study on other factors affecting organization performance and measures of actual work output.

Abstract: Personal smartphones, tablets, and laptops have become increasingly popular in the workplace, posing new security challenges in firms where they have been connected with company devices. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is a prevalent practice whereby workers are permitted to work on their own devices rather than utilizing company-provided equipment. Because BYOD offers both advantages and disadvantages, its adoption in the workplace is a source of concern. Workers utilizing personal devices to conduct business face significant security hazards, whether they're merely transmitting job-related electronic mails or retrieving protected organization programs from their cellphones or tablets. This study investigated the cybersecurity concerns associated with BYOD integration in work places in Kenya focusing on a Non-governmental organization. The specific objectives of the study were; to investigate the level of awareness of BYOD security challenges, and to investigate the measures put in place to address cyber-security issues associated with BYOD. The results indicate that organizations need to create more awareness in regards to BYOD security since the level of awareness is low. The results also show that security measures related to BYOD has been neglected. It is also imperative that organizations put in place security measures that will ensure data integrity, confidentiality as well as availability.

Abstract: In this Research, some problems associated with numerical weather prediction are discussed. we have been able to simulate some finite difference schemes to predict weather trends of Abuja. By analyzing the results from these schemes, it has shown that the best scheme in the finite difference method that gives a close accurate weather forecast is the trapezoidal scheme when comparing with sunshine, Rainfall, and windspeed. We use the trapezoidal scheme to stimulate the numerical weather data obtained from the federal Airports Authority. Finally using Matlab (2021a) to acquire subsequent numerical tendency.

Abstract: The paper focuses on passive control MHD flow in the presence of Arrhenius Chemical reactions with Heat Generation Absorption. In this paper, a mathematical model for passive control MHD flow in the presence of Arrhenius Chemical reactions with Heat Generation Absorption was formulated. The momentum, energy, magnetic, and species equations were non-dimensionalized to arrive at dimensionless equations. The dimensionless equations were solved analytically with the use of asymptotic expansions defined about activation energy parameter ϵ . The properties of solutions were investigated for second order differential equations to show existence and uniqueness of solution of the problem. With graphical representation, the effect of various important physical parameters on velocity, energy, concentration and chemical species for reactivity parameter, convective heat transfer, heat generation, thermal buoyancy, soret number and Eckert number were investigated. A table is also given that provides the results of different parameters on local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers. The passive control model reveals that the maximum velocity, temperature and concentration occurs at the surface which is dependent on the convective boundary conditions and convective heat traansfer is seen to decline the chemical species distributions.

Abstract: The concept of multiset generalises the classical set, and so multigroup is an algebraic structure of multiset. In this paper we study the concept of centralizer and normalizer of a group under the context of multiset. The closure of these concept was studied under union, intersection, arithemetic addition, compposition and arithmetic multiplication among others. We have also shown that a centralizer and normalizer is not empty and are sub multi group of a multi group alongside defining the normal sub multi group of a multi group.

Abstract: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), an infectious disease strike the whole world and people of all age groups. It can cause common symptoms as fever, dry cough, tastelessness, loss of smell and can even lead to breath shortening, and even death. This can be symptomatic as well as asymptomatic in some patients and thus lead to increased communicability. Machine Learning is a latest trend currently useful in almost all research areas. In this study we reviewed papers that implements Machine learning techniques in COVID-19 diagnosis. Articles from all the popular digital libraries are included with higher citation both from researchers and industries. In this article we provide the state of the art of the covid diagnosis with advanced and non contact techniques and this can guide both clinicians and technologists.  These techniques are more powerful since it reduce the dependency on the covid test kits and also the human made errors. Moreover, disease can be diagnosed with high accuracy from covid data, in less time and reduced cost using the biomedical images or clinically collected records.

Abstract: Coronavirus disease strike the world in 2019 and commonly called COVID-19 with its update given by the World Health Organization (WHO) on December 31, 2019. It infected more than 100 countries, an infectious disease strike the whole world and people of all age groups became a global health emergency. This disease can transmit from person to person through respiratory droplets and thus is highly contagious. The second wave almost killed billions of persons and lead to several liver problems, pneumonia, respiratory failure, cardiovascular diseases, etc. This can be symptomatic as well as asymptomatic in some patients and thus lead to increased communicability. Machine Learning is a latest trend currently useful in almost all research areas. Using these techniques to diagnose corona makes it highly feasible to cope up with this emergency. Different methods for testing corona virus are present but they require huge delay, are expensive, highly dependent test kits, higher negative false rate and prone to human errors. In this article we provide the state of the art of the covid diagnosis using Chest X ray images and this can guide both clinicians and technologists. A support vector machine is used to train the model and classify images into normal, pneumonia, and covid images. An overall accuracy of 95% is achieved using this method.

Abstract: School Management System using Progressive Web Application is aimed at Network Independent for Student Management system which allows the students to check through their details awithout necessary using data logging-in via their matriculation number, since the developed System will not allow matriculation numbers outside Lead City University. The main goal of this thesis is to develop a Progressive Web Application School Management System and provide an interface that will be used for all the necessary details of School Management. The objectives in achieving the set goal are: Designing of the database, designing of the design of the progressive web application school management system and the development of the whole system with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, React, Xamp Server. The system is targeted to helping students take their studies in a more advanced fashion breaking away from the conventional way of using papers and manual processing of doing their registration all the time. The School Management System using Progressive Web Application makes use of features such as service workers, push notification, indexedDB, Background sync is deployed for the implementation of the system. The system will give a more developed and user-friendly access as well as it will take less time to complete its execution. The cost of implementing the system is minimal compared to the cost of other development of other School Management System. The system is deployed into the Department of Computer Science in Lead City University.

Abstract:

 In this work we prove lower bounds on the randomized decision tree complexity of several read-once threshold functions. A read-once threshold formula can be defined by a rooted tree, in which every internal node is labeled by a threshold function Tkn  (with output 1 only when at least k  out of n  input bits are 1) and each leaf by a variable. We consider the randomized decision tree complexity of such functions, when the underlying tree is a uniform and balanced tree with all its internal nodes labeled by the same threshold function. We prove lower bounds of the form c(k,n)d , where d  is the depth of the tree, for certain values of k  and n . The value of each parameter c(k,n)  depends on the solution of a linear program, which is provided by computational methods.

Abstract: Modern digital technology has enhanced the lives of several people. Unlike to the election system, it makes heavy use of printed paper. Elections using the traditional method risk the security aspects and openness. The institution that oversees general elections continues to adopt a centralized approach. With an organization having complete control over the database and system, it is feasible to tamper with the database of significant opportunities. This is one of the issues that might arise in traditional election systems. Because it adopts a decentralized structure and the full database is held by multiple people, blockchain technology has been one of the solutions. The methodology outlined in this work examines the usefulness of hashing algorithms, the construction and sealing of blocks, the accumulation of data, and the declaration of results using an adaptable blockchain approach. Electronic voting or e-voting has fundamental benefits over paper-based systems such as increased efficiency and reduced errors. The electronic voting system tends to maximize user participation, by allowing them to vote from anywhere and from any device that has an internet connection. The blockchain is an emerging, decentralized, and distributed technology with strong cryptographic foundations that promises to improve different aspects of many industries. Expanding e-voting into blockchain technology could be the solution to alleviate the present concerns in e-voting. Here we propose a blockchain-based voting system that will limit the voting fraud and make the voting process simple, secure and efficient.
