Abstract:Seismic stations comprised of 3 accelerometers, 6 broadband and 5 short period seismometers were installed in Menengai to monitor the level of microseismicity within the volcanic region. This was aimed at identifying the seismic events mapping them and giving an interpretation of their cause. A total of 7241 seismic events with local magnitudes ranging between -1.5 and 2.7 were located and relocated. The results of the relocation show significant epicentral clustering aligned towards the Molo Tectanovolcanic axis, Solai Tectanovolcanic axis and in the caldera. The hypocentral distribution show large depths up to 10 Km in the Menengai caldera and shallower depths of about Km in the northeastern part of the Menengai Volcano. Earthquake swarm activity with rates of more than 150 events per month was noted. Analysis of focal mechanism from 3120 selected earthquakes, show a region predominantly of north east striking faults. The general trend of seismicity indicated by stresses which arise during magma migration in the earth’s crust, explains a volcano-tectonic type of earthquake dominating the Menengai Volcanic field.

Abstract:Nowadays, technology in education is necessity for students and teachers, to pass knowledge easier to kids and to plan lesson plans for teachers, lessons with innovation is always attractive for students, especially early age students are attracted to gadgets these days, it is better to use them in education, smart technologies for them to learn how to use it, and take advantage and knowledge from it, not just to play games. The aim of the research is, technology is one of the important innovations in education and it had positive impact to young learners, furthermore it is developing day by day and effects on young students are observed and approved, which is positive and beneficial to have innovation in the classroom. If we compare resources about past technologies and methods, in institutions and different technological education in every school in different countries, impact of technology in the classroom, and how effective it is for children of today, that importance of it, and positives and negatives of the technologies in the classroom for young learners, benefits of it and, etc. Comparing technologies and methods of teachers and different innovations in different countries, proves us that technology is one of the best tool in education from preschool to university tuition. Results show us, power of technology and help of it, such as: feedbacks gives about e-library and e-book in Dubai, students left satisfied feedbacks. Moreover I find best and upgraded innovation designed especially for young learners and for education in the classroom is 3D Virtual, and Razkids, which is awesomely helpful and use designed for education, which is education, information center, agent, helper, subject, course, and et.

Abstract:Financial sustainability is key to the survival of an organization because it leads to long-term survival and effectiveness of the organization. The challenge however for all organizations is how to achieve their goals such as financial sustainability which solely depends on its ability to manage cash. The purpose of the study was to establish the effect of budgeting, cash accounting on the financial sustainability of dairy co-operatives. The study adopted the theory of budgeting. This study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The target population of the study was 260 employees from the accounting and finance department of 65 dairy co-operatives. The sample size was 160 respondents. Stratified and simple random sampling were employed. A pilot study was conducted in Nandi County to test for validity and reliability of the research instruments. Content validity was used as a validity test while reliability was tested using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Descriptive statistics including mean, percentages and frequencies and inferential statistics were employed to analyze the data. In addition, inferential statistics that is correlation coefficient was used to make inferences of the population using data drawn from the population whereas descriptive statistics was used to summarize data from the population. The study findings found that budgeting had a positive and significant effect on financial sustainability of dairy cooperatives (β=0.170, p<0.05). The study concluded that budgeting, enhances financial sustainability of dairy cooperatives. It also concluded that with effective budgeting, one can predict the future expenses and costs and accordingly work towards the expected revenues hence may realize the required level of financial sustainability. This study recommended that budgeting should be practiced to ensure cash is allocated to all items and that all allocations as well as expenditures are done as per the budgets. The investors, government, employees and the researchers benefit from this research because it gives insight into cash management practices that can be used in achieving financial sustainability. It also forms a basis for policy makers in policy development on financial sustainability of dairy co-operatives.
