Abstract: The study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational performance in deposit money banks in Uyo Metropolis of Akwa Ibom State. Survey research method was adopted for the study. A sample of 162 respondents was drawn from the population of 271 using Taro Yamane’s scientific sampling technique. For the objectives of the study to be achieved, two hypotheses were formulated and tested. The study utilized both structured questionnaire and interview as major instruments for data collection. 162 questionnaires were distributed and 135 were returned in useable form. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage and regression analysis. Results showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between variables of emotional intelligence such as relationship management and competency, and employee performance in deposit money banks in Uyo Metropolis of Akwa Ibom State. It was recommended that, banks should promote customer-centric culture with efficient resources allocation so as to improve customer value, reward systems and promote employee behaviors that can enhance customer satisfaction and retention, as well as developing and optimizing their employee competency management to effectively gain sustainability as well as continually carrying out competency analysis to identify the knowledge, skills and abilities of individuals to meet the organizational goals.

Abstract: The present research paper is an attempt to understand and analyze the trade scenario between India and South Africa. Close associations between these two countries, strategic ties, cultural and social affinity developed between the two nations post-apartheid enabled both of them to enjoy amicable and mutual support for each other.

The burgeoning economic and trade relationship between the two countries is taking this age long old relationship to a new direction. Post-apartheid, several of the investment led by the Government of India and many by the private sector players has opened up a plethora of growth and development opportunities between the two countries. In a way, it has injected a new rigor in the bilateral relationships between both the countries. The current as well as the future investment that are aimed at by these countries holds immense promise for taking millions and millions out of poverty from their respective nations.

This research work is aimed at analyzing the change in trade scenario that has taken place in the last few decades between the two nations and have accelerated the pace of development in the two countries owing to substantial increase in the investment patterns across various sectors of the economy by different companies of both the countries. The research work also tries to highlight the export and import index values between the two nations.

Abstract: In an age where digitization of notes is the norm, writing using pens as the primary device still plays a prominent role in the world. But this comes with its fair share of downsides as well, in the form of it being a mundane activity, harm to the muscles and bones in the wrist and hand and a lack of scope for indulgence and comfort. The proposed solution to these comes in the form of ‘Acupen’. Designed with ergonomic precision to make the action of holding and moving a pen easier, more comfortable, and effortless, as well as ideas from acupressure to help alleviate the physiological stressors that come with, ‘Acupen’, aims to capture the market population that is dissatisfied with the writing devices currently present in the market due to their lack of people friendliness and the long-term implications to skeletal and muscular health of individuals that become apparent later on the lives.

Abstract: As known that the IT training and management of human resources very important for any organization, the measure of success of any organization is measured by the extent to which pre-established goals are achieved, which depend mainly on the workforce. Therefore, in order to improve the organization's performance, organizations must focus on information technology and invest in this field. However, we do not see many organizations working to invest in the field of information technology, because they do not put it among their priorities, and some of these organizations still feel that training employees to engage in this field is unnecessary. These organizations are working to reduce the budget allocated to IT to reduce annual expenses or to save some revenues. A stratified sampling method was used and 60 employees from a community of 300 were targeted through a self-administered questionnaire. The aim of this questionnaire is to find out the effect of training employees on information technology and motivating them to develop their skills, as well as knowing job satisfaction in small organizations. This study concluded that training on information technology has increased the performance of employees and also had a positive impact on the performance of the organization.

Abstract: This paper reviews the concept of blue economy in Africa, how it relates to Zanzibar and how to take advantage of the development opportunities it provides. In particular, the paper identifies the strengths of the blue economy and the opportunities available, and how these may be utilized to address development challenges and maximize societal benefits. The paper recognizes that implementation of the blue economy concept in Zanzibar is in its early stages. Therefore, it focuses on issues relating to formulation of a blue economy strategy in Zanzibar. It also aims to stimulate constructive discussion to enrich and complement the efforts on Marine Spatial Planning whereby Zanzibar can enhance the contribution of blue economy to its national economic growth, development of other sectors including trade and infrastructures and reducing rate of unemployment.
