Abstract:The acquisition of luxury products is a global phenomenon as these products are in themselves considered world famous because they belong to the names and trademarks are rich in definition. To answer this question, the researcher chose Hofstede's theory of social patterns in order to distinguish between societies and cultures, using the two modern types (long-term orientation & indulgence). The four previous patterns of this theory were ((1. Power Distance Index (PDI)2. Individualism versus Collectivism(INV)3. Uncertainty Avoidance(UVI) 4. Masculinity versus Femininity (MAS). The study carried out a study comparing two cultures and two different countries, Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey. Where the researcher distributed a research questionnaire in both countries to measure the extent of consumer motivation (quality seeking and hedonism) to purchase luxury products in each culture, relying on the assessment of the sociologist Hofstede for both cultures. This study was carried out between 2018-2019 and its results found that local culture has a disproportionate impact on the motives for the consumption of luxury products as follow: The effect of long-term orientation on quality is stronger than its effect on hedonic motivation in both countries. This effect is more obvious in KSA than Turkey, so Saudi people consume luxuries for the seeking of quality more than Turkish people with taken in account the effect of being more likely short-term oriented culture, whereas Turkish are more long- term oriented people. Whereas the effect of indulgence on hedonic motivation is stronger than its effect on quality in both countries. With taken in to account that both countries are almost similar in the value of indulgence as cultural dimension. At the same time Turkish people are less interested in quality than Saudi people. Turkish people as an indulgent culture consume luxuries for the seeking of hedonism more than of quality seeking, whereas Saudi people consume luxuries for both hedonic and quality.

Abstract:Intergovernmental fiscal relations and Local Government Performance in Nigeria has continued to attract tremendous attention from experts and keen observers especially since the return of democratic rule in 1999. Using a Systems perspective, this paper examined the issue by looking at how fiscal federalism evolved in Nigeria, Local Government sources of revenue visa vice their assigned functions and the operation of the State Joint Local Government Account System. The paper discovered that the existing fiscal structure in the country which was inherited from the colonial and military eras and adopted by the 1999 Constitution, is skewed against local governments when it allocated a paltry 20.6% of federally collected revenue to it, tied it to an unholy joint account with their respective State governments  and left it with empty or hard-to-collect revenue sources. The paper therefore recommended an increase in the percentage of revenue going to local governments in the country from the federation account to 25% , abolition of the State Joint Local Government Account System, the inclusion of six ALGON officials in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), strengthening of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU)or creation of a similar organ of government to monitor the disbursement and usage of funds by local governments and the enthronement of full blown democratic governance as against the current Caretaker System so as to give more political autonomy to local governments in Nigeria.

Abstract:Ethno-religious conflicts have become conspicuous in the Nigeria of today that the country has come to earn for itself an epithet, ‘The Theater of conflicts’. Drawing from the Conflict Theory of Karl Marx and Fredrick Engels, this paper examined the topical issue by looking at the history, drivers, effects of ethno-religious conflicts in Nigeria as well as the mechanisms or steps taken to stop or minimize their occurrence in the country. The paper discovered that there were numerous causes put forward in the literature as providing the fuel for ethno-religious disturbances in Nigeria and that its consequences to nation building are staggering. To avoid these consequences, a number of measures have been put in place but that some of those measures have not yielded the necessary results, hence the continued reoccurrence of the malaise. Accordingly, the paper recommended that: an in-depth expert study of the remote and immediate propellers of ethnic and religious tensions in Nigeria should be conducted with a view to discovering holistically their causes, that Government should review its current approach of classifying all ethno-religious sentiments in the country as trouble making and dismemberment seeking, so that all latest or manifest injustices can have the opportunity of being addressed, that all ethno-religious grievances are nipped in the bud so as to save government and its people of the serious consequences that go with any belated step and that new and enduring institutions of nation building are created while existing ones that meet current realities are retained and overhauled, that the long canvassed ‘wazobia’ lingua language policy should be rolled out as part of building a bond oneness among Nigerians.

Abstract:Inventory Management is very vital to the success & growth of any organisations. The study indicated that there are several factors that are influencing the effectiveness of inventory management. The purpose of this research is to identify the key problems in inventory management in any organisation, especially from 3PL service provider perspective, covering managing Automobile components, consumer & Retail products. This paper is aimed at developing and testing methodology to evaluate the most appropriate process within the outsourced Process of Inventory Management.
Effectiveness of inventory management is vital in every 3PL organisation to be more competitive.  The entire profitability of an 3PL organisation is tied to the accuracy of customer inventory which has direct relationship with the service level to the customer.
In completing this research, the population of this study is about 80 Managers & Senior Executives randomly selected from Manufacturer & 3Pl service providers. A Sample size of 61 was derived for survey and data points generated from questionnaire forms the basis. 
The results have shown that the problems of inventory management faced by them were management of Stocks at 3 different levels, ie,
•     Dock to Stock (Inbound),
•     Storage administration and
•     Order to delivery (Outbound). 
The key areas were majority on Accounting the stocks in books, Managing the stocks, Delivery to customer orders (OTIF) and discrepancy of records.  The factors, documentation/store records, planning, knowledge of employees/staff skill have shown to significantly influence the effectiveness of inventory management while the operational process have shown slightly significant influence on the inventory management in any Stores / Warehouse management. This quantitative study is important to the manufacturing as well as 3PL service providers because it provides the guidelines to the employers of warehouse personnel.

Abstract:In a world where the Internet of Things is becoming a center of interest of all researchers, domotics or smart home products has demonstrated itself as one of the hottest trends to follow. Smart homes are homes equipped with highly advanced systems that monitor and control the multiple functions of the home and that allow the home devices to interact with each other and with the householders at the same time. The purpose of this thesis first is to identify the main important attributes of smart home products, then to investigate the consumer expectations from these products by using the conjoint analysis method. The findings of this research have shown multiple area of development. The ideal smart home product profile for the 155 investigated respondents was one with high privacy and security, extreme usefulness and reliability, moderate interoperability and low cost. The Marketing Engineering Software for Excel was used in order to estimate part worths for the conjoint analysis and the attribute importance. Respondents had shown a high importance for privacy and security and then usefulness in which they represent more than 50% of the attributes importance, then come reliability and price and at the end interoperability. Market shares were predicted by using the First-Choice Rule for 9 existing product profiles; the ideal product for consumers was the Inseton Hub Central Controller with a high privacy and security, extreme usefulness and interoperability, moderate reliability and a low cost, with 30 % of the market share. The results demonstrate that modifying costing and promotional strategies as well as working on some technical areas of the smart home products such privacy and security and interoperability could increase market share for smart home products producers.

Abstract:Online shopping has become a new way of shopping, providing companies with new sales channels. In China with the popularity of the Internet and the rapidly development of e-commerce, more and more consumers started to prefer online shopping. In China university students is one of the groups of online consumers with great buying potential. Therefore, this study tries to assess online shopping behavior of university students in China and make suggestions to marketers based on study findings. This research focuses on determining factors that influence university students’ online shopping adoption. In this research perceived ease of use, perceived risk of use, trust and perceived enjoyment were treated as independent variables. On the other side, perceived usefulness, attitude and behavioral intention were treated as dependent variable. Out of seven proposed hypotheses, six hypotheses were supported. Just one hypotheses, which proposed positive relationship between perceived usefulness and attitude toward using online shopping platforms was rejected. This study makes recommendations to marketers based on the study findings.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to find the important and clever ways to build the trust between customers and suppliers especially in online shopping and I want to focus on Arab countries – Iraq as a simple of my studying. I have chosen Iraq because there is no trust at all with this kind of service, so you cannot find any online apps or websites in this country. Because of the fact that I will take this topic, and everything belongs to it by consideration in order to enter this part (Iraq market – online service). The trust is a key point of any business so that new way of shopping which will take it as a study community for many reasons. First of all, Iraq community does not have this kind of service or it is very limited. secondly, because I’m working in this part as a (customer service – in online shopping website which took Gulf countries as a target) in a website which has a target Arab country, when I'm talking to the customers first question is (who to approve that your products are original?) Last but not least, I'm working on this part in my life and I'm almost done with this kind of service to enter to Iraq market depending on my huge experience with Iraq community and find a good channel to build a perfect level of trust. To sum up, online shopping is a good way to increase the sales also find a new communication channels with customers depending on the large amount of experience in the world, I want to take all these points by consideration in order to create a new online method in this part of the word.

Abstract:Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies (SACCOs) in Kenya have been studied over the years with the objective of maximizing members’ wealth. Similar with other investment options, wealth maximization and member deposits mobilization strategies have been critical objectives for all SACCOs’ investment avenues from a wide range of investment alternatives. Studies have indicated that despite SACCOs having been in existence since their inception in the 1960s, lack of sufficient wealth creation has made it difficult for them to absorb their operational overheads, ensure sufficient credit to members on a timely basis, finance capital projects and reduce delinquency thereby threatening their sustainability. This has led to the losses being absorbed by member’s savings and or deposits hence loss in members’ investments. It is in this line that this study assess effect of diversification of revenue sources on financial performance of Sacco’s in Kenya, The specific objectives of this project was to determine the effect of money transmission on the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya, to establish the effect of foreign direct investments on the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya, to determine the effect of trade finance on the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya and finally to find out the effect of properties investments on the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya. The study targeted SACCOS in Nairobi County. The study adoptedsecondary data analysisresearch design. The quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. In addition the study used multiple regression analysis to analyze the data. This study concluded that investment in mobile banking significantly and positively influence the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya. This implies that an increase in financial performance of SACCOs is likely through embracing investment in mobile banking. This study also concluded that trade finance significantly and positively influence the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya. A positive increase of trade finance initiatives within the SACCOs sector increases the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya. It is therefore concluded in the study that trade finance within the operations of the SACCO is positively significant on their financial performance. This study further concluded that trade finance significantly and positively influence the financial performance of SACCOs in Kenya. This was confirmed from the correlation analysis as the correlation coefficient was strong and also from both the multiple and linear regressions. The p values also show that real estate investment was significant on financial performance of the SACCOs. From the above conclusion, the study recommends that policy makers should consider consider mobile banking in their formulation of policies because of the technological developments and the expected switch from physical branch networks to technologically supported banking services. The researcher also recommended that the SACCO should carry out training on staff to improve on their skills, make more elaborate and friendly procedures to allow more customers to participate in trade finance and leverage on the products which were not frequently offered. The study finally recommends that management of the SACCOs in Kenya should consider increasing their asset allocations to real estate close to the maximum since the sector gives higher returns on investment although the returns tend to be long term.

Abstract:Globalization has brought about changes in the financial industry thereby markets with fast changing technology must make things happen. Financial Performance and innovation are interrelated in that banks cannot sustain themselves if they fail to embrace innovation in their operations. The main objective of the study was to determine the effect of Innovation on financial performance of listed banks in Kenya. Specifically, the study investigated the effect of product innovation, process innovation, service innovation and institutional innovation on financial performance of listed banks in the Nairobi Securities Exchange. The target population included 5 conveniently selected banks out of the 11 listed banks in the Nairobi Security Exchange. These included Equity bank, Kenya commercial bank, Cooperative bank of Kenya, National Bank of Kenya and Barclays Bank of Kenya. The study sample was drawn from the population using stratified random sampling technique with 94 respondents represented by the branch managers drawn from the different banks. The study used both primary data and Secondary data. Data analysis was carried out by use of descriptive statistics and inferential statistics that involved the use of regression analysis to determine the strength of association between the variables. The findings revealed that innovation has a significant effect on financial performance and recommended that banks should adopt innovation to enhance growth, competition, increased productivity and profits.

Abstract:Non-governmental organizations in Kenya were among organizations facing high rates of employee turnover to the tune of over 26%. In many of these organizations, there has been prevalence of employee turnover for formal engagement in other organizations, rendering these organizations less effective in service delivery. Dadaab sub-county is one of the areas with huge presence of non-governmental organizations in Garissa County. Retention of employees was a critical issue facing these organizations where dominant agencies such as CARE International Kenya recorded employee turnover rates as high as 31%. This called for the investigation of the various factors within these organizations that influenced such turn of events. The purpose of this study therefore was to investigate the effect of human resource management practices on retention of non-governmental organizations’ employees in Dadaab Sub-County. The study sought to examine the effect of compensation, career management, employee work life balance and organizational communication on retention of employees in the non-governmental organizations operating in Dadaab Sub-county.  The study was founded on the Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory, the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory and Social Exchange Theory. The study employed a descriptive research design. The study targeted the all the 25 NGOs operating in Dadaab Sub County. A census of these organizations was taken where 3 employees one from senior management, one from middle level management and one general staff from each organization participated in the study. The study used primary data collected using a semi-structured questionnaire. The data from the open-ended questions was analysed through thematic analysis. Quantitative data analysis was undertaken using the statistical package for social sciences computer software. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were generated. A multiple liner regression was used in showing the relationship between human resource management practices and employee retention in the organizations under study. The study found that compensation, career management, employee work life balance and organizational communication positively and significantly affected the retention of employees in the NGOs operating in Dadaab Sub County. The study concluded that human resource management practices in particular compensation, career management, employee work life balance and organizational communication played a great role in the retention of employees in the NGOs operating in Dadaab Sub County. The study also concluded that employee work life balance had the largest effect on the retention of employees working with the NGOs in this sub county while compensation had the least effect among the four HRM practices under study. Hence, if the NGOs in Dadaab Sub County were to witness significant retention of their employees, emphasis had to be placed on having competitive compensation systems, enhancing career management in these organizations, having in place favourable employee work life balance policies besides enhancing the level of organizational communication. Several recommendations were given based on the study findings.

Abstract:The purpose of the study was to find out the impact of information technology investments on supply chain performance. It was guided by the following objectives that includes; to determine the effect of cost reduction on supply chain performance in Trans Nzoia County; to establish the effect of labor reduction on supply chain performance in Trans Nzoia County; to assess the effect of efficiency in operations on supply chain performance in Trans Nzoia County and to evaluate the effect of knowledge and skills on supply chain performance in Trans Nzoia County. The study was theorized by the Theory of Information Systems, The Theory of Performance and the Stakeholder Theory. The reviewed literature did not show any work done on impact of information technology investments on supply chain performance in county governments. Descriptive study research design was used as the population made up of top management, IT staff and Procurement staff totalling to 103 respondents. Data was collected through survey method by the use of structured questionnaires. The administration of the questionnaires was through drop and pick. Responses in the questionnaire were tabulated, collected andanalyzed using descriptive statistics and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0 programme. The results of the study revealed a strong effect of cost reduction, labor reduction, efficiency in operations and knowledge and skills on Supply Chain Performance. The independent variables do influence supply chain performance, hence cost reduction, labor reduction, efficiency in operations and knowledge and skills have a significant association with supply chain performance in Trans Nzoia County. Information technology investments thus influence supply chain performance in the short, medium and long run operations and results within the County Government of Trans Nzoia.

Abstract:Banking regulation is one of the main economic systems that the government uses to shape economic performances. The government through the Central Bank of Kenya uses financial policy protocols like central bank rate, open market operations, and cash reserve ratio for commercial banks with the objective of managing multiple financial targets among them price stability, promotion of growth, achieving full employment, smoothing the business cycle, preventing financial instability, stabilizing long-term profit rates and the real exchange rate.This Study was carried out with the following objectives; to assess the impact of financial policy on financial performance of commercial banks in Trans Nzoia; to examine the effect credit standards on the financial performance of commercial banks in Trans Nzoia; to influence the effect of profit rate capping on the financial performance of commercial banks in Kitale and to evaluate the impact of affirmative lending on the financial performance of commercial banks in Trans Nzoia. The Study adopted survey sampling.The size of the sample for the Study was one hundred and thirty six (136) staff from the first tier commercial banks in Kenya; Kenya Commercial Bank 30 staff, Cooperative Bank 10 staff, Equity bank 23 staff, Standard Chartered bank 9 staff, Barclays bank of Kenya 11 staff and Diamond Trust Bank 10 staff. Questionnaires were used to collect data from the bank employees.Data collected was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22. Qualitative data was analysed thematically while quantitative data collected was analysed using descriptive statistical techniques which included frequencies, mean and standard deviation.Multiple linear regressions was adopted for the study to test the relationship between the study variables.Based on the study findings the respondents seem to be of the thoughts that the financial performance of a commercial bank is being influenced by the kind of banking regulations the government is implementing at the time. The study also indicated that there exists a negative effect of credit standard on the financial performance of commercial banks in Trans Nzoia County. The monetary policy items revealed a significant value with the relationship between monetary policy and affirmative. To this the findings revealed that the financial performance of banks is negatively caused by the type of credit standards implemented at the time.It was also indicated that the bank’s financial performance is as a result of the type of banking protocols.A conclusion was made that a strong relationship exists between banking regulations and financial performance. Also concluded was that the absence of banking regulations in the commercial banks sector,may kill the business vision of the banking sector of Trans Nzoia County.

Abstract:Materials control is widely discussed area yet continues to record poor performance in terms of its effectiveness. Most organizations face challenges of overstocking of materials, duplication of similar materials in different departments, large material size of item parts that are resource wastage. The difficulty is to acquire approaches that would enable minimization of such wastages and losses to improve on materials control performance. The study explored the effects of variety reduction on effective materials control at Agri-Seed Company, Nairobi, Kenya. The objectives of this study were to find out the effects of standardization, simplification, specification and rationalization on effective material control. The study was based on the Materials control System Theory (Cheung, 2007); Materials control Theory and the Resource Dependence Theory (Scott 2007) which were suited for this study. The study employed descriptive case study design, targeting 300 employees of Agri-Seed Company with a sample size of 169 to be selected for the study using a combination of purposive and multistage sampling procedures. Data was collected through distribution of questionnaire, which will contain semi structured questions. The collected data was analyzed with the help of Statistical packages for social sciences (SPSS version 20). The findings found that Standardization and Specification have no significant influence on effective material control,as Simplification and rationalization impact the effectiveness of material control at Agri-Seed Company, Nairobi Branch. The study recommended that further standardization is required by streamlining and aligning the company’s demand with the supplier’s and customer requirement. Additionally, there is need of the technical management to prioritize specification which should be conducted as a collaborative process inclusive of the various departmental representatives and relevant suppliers.Finally, there is need of the top management of Agri-Seed Company to adopt technology-based Supply Chain enhancement applications that can streamline the rationalization of the various inventories in the company for better visibility into the organization’s inventory. The pilot study was carried out in Kitale town since this area was not being part of the three sub-counties proposed for the study. A total of 20 questionnaires were administered to 6 heads of departments, 7 supervisors and 7 randomly selected operation officers. Those selected for piloting were not included in the actual sample. They were requested to offer feedback on the wording and the formulation of the questions, which enhanced the final questionnaire to ensure it, obtained the richest data possible.

Abstract:Project planning is an expectation of all human before one embarks on a project whether a minor or major, private or public. The planning aspect gives reason to signal that the project is a weighty affair needing great attention and strategies have to be considered to ensure that the accomplishment is accepted by all and the expectations are met. Through this analysis on the outcome of project planning on the achievement of CDF Health Facilities construction projects within the five Sub-Counties of Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya will be studied. The identified specific objectives in this study were to; assess the effect of timely project completion, examine the effect of cost estimation and evaluate the effect of stakeholder’s satisfaction on Health Facilities construction projects performance in Trans-Nzoia County. The study based on the following theories; Resource based view theory, Complexity theory, Constraints theory and Utility theory. A descriptive design was used. A combination of Stratified and Purposive sampling techniques was used to draw the respondents who are directly linked to the construction projects and they included the Health Facility In charge of the facilities, the Public Health Officers, the Contractor on site, the Health Facility Committee members representing the community who are the major stakeholders of the projects. Self-administered structured and semi structured questionnaires was used to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. Pilot testing was conducted within the five Sub-Counties where 20 questionnaires were distributed to test the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. 86 questionnaires were then distributed to actual sample frame for the study. The study received 81 responses from the sample frame. Quantitative and Qualitative data collected was coded, computed and analyzed using descriptive statistics with software of Statistical Package for Social Sciences program version 21 and Qualitative data was analyzed on thematic mode and presented in prose. Frequency tables were used in presentation of the information generated and converted into percentages. Multiple regression analysis was used to judge the significant relationship between the dependent and independent variables and the findings were that all the independent variables had a strong positive relationship with the dependent variable., shown by 26.2percent indicating the performance of Health Facilities construction projects in Trans-Nzoia County. Findings conclusively recommend that timely project completion, cost estimation and stakeholders satisfaction are key indicators that can be measured to judge the performance of projects especially the Government related projects, they can be related to a yardstick measure by any mwananchi awaiting to utilize the projects. It also recommended that the projects of any kind funded by the County and National Governments must be comprehensively planned, have a knowledgeable and experienced project management teams to responsibly execute, monitor and evaluate the project progresses, certified contractors  and skilled construction workers who are accredited  to be used as well as prioritized adequate funding of projects from initiation to completion of projects through adequate budgetary allocation from the National Budgetary Committee.

Abstract:The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of financial planning on banks performance in Trans-Nzoia County with a specific objective of assessingthe influence of financial forecasting on bank performance in Trans-Nzoia County. The research established that financial management, financial forecasting and Customer satisfaction have an effect on banks performance in Trans-Nzoia County. The regression analysis established the regression coefficients of the three factors as follows; financial management (0.032), financial forecasting (0.104) and customer satisfaction (-0.039). This shows that the most significant predictor of banks performance among the three factors was financial forecasting and financial management. A good financial forecasting contributes to proper financial management which in return leads to customer satisfaction. Based on the research findings it is recommended that; publication of comprehensive periodic financial reports. This will provide a good platform to manage the bulk of funds handled by the banks. Development of a reliable data bank for storage of important records used for financial forecasting is also recommended. Banks should use their historical income and expenditure data to predict and forecast future incomes and expenditure. The historical data to be used should be preferably for immediate past one or two years. Bank should formulate new ways and strategies for customer satisfaction. This is because customer taste and preferences are dynamic and keeps changing over time. This requires banks to keep pace with the changing customer needs.

Abstract:The purpose of the study was to assess the Influence of Remuneration techniques on Employees Performance in the Public Service in Turkana County. The specific objective to determine the impact of motivation on worker overall performance in Public Service in Turkana County.  Employee overall performance refers to behaviors that are applicable to organizational desires and that are under the manager of person employees.  The standard fulfillment of an organization in accomplishing its strategic goals is based heavily on the performance level of personnel. A number of theories as part of the literature review that borders on the topic of study was explored to present the review of related literature highlighting theoretical review e.g. expectancy theory, equity theory and Reinforcement theory. The research adopted descriptive research design. The study was carried in Turkana County among the employees in different ministries in the public service. Systematic random sampling was adopted using open and closed ended questionnaires to sixty [60) employees. The data was collected, analyzed and presented using different research designs e.g. sampling techniques. The data was presented using tables and bar graphs. Thus, the study found out that performance impacts employee overall performance within the Public Service in Turkana County.

Abstract:Diversity concerns valuing difference among different people in an organization. Lack of equal employment opportunity has made organization rethink on how to manage diversity in workplace. Workforce diversity can be source of organization success when best practices are used to contain dominance, tribalism, ethnicity, stereotype etc.  The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of diversity on effectiveness of human resource management practices in West Pokot County Assembly. The specific objective was to establish the effect of equal employment opportunity, Three theories related to diversity were used to support this work theoretically. Mixed research design was preferred for this study. The entire West Pokot County Assembly and staff constituted the target population. The population of the study was 300 employees of which 90 were sampled Questionnaire was the main instrument to collect data. Qualitative data was analyzed by descriptive statistics while quantitative data was analyzed by inferential statistics.  Pretest, comments and correction from supervisor determined the validity of the instrument. Desirability of 0.7 and above Cronbach alpha determined the reliability of the instrument. Hypotheses of the study were tested, the test led to rejection of the null hypothesis. Thus alternative hypotheses were accepted. This showed that the hypothesis had statistical significance on effectiveness of human resource management practices. The findings of the study were discussed in line with the objective. Basing on the findings, Equal employment opportunity (β = 0.784) was found to be positively related effectiveness of human resource management practices in West Pokot County assembly. The study concluded that diversity has a significant effect on effectiveness of human resource management in West Pokot County assembly. The study is deemed to benefit researchers, policy makers and human resource managers.

Abstract:The issue that was investigated by the study was the factors influencing effective micro-projects development among farming entrepreneurs in West Pokot sub-county. The overall objective of the study was to determine the factors influencing effective micro-projects development among farming entrepreneurs in West Pokot sub- County. The study concentrated on specific objective which was to examine the effects of financial resources on effective micro project development among farming entrepreneurs in West Pokot sub-county Theories that were used in the study are system theory, contingency theory and resource based theory and sustainability. The study was conducted in the sub county of West Pokot and it focused on the farming residents who are engaged in micro projects. The target population was crop farmers, beekeepers and poultry farmers. The study used questionnaire which contained both close and open ended questionnaire. Assessment of validity and reliability, data analysis and presentation was done using tables and graphs. Data analyzed using SPSS package. Once done, the study was of significance to individuals, organizations, county government and national government since they will get the necessary information about the micro projects development. The study established that effective competency and skills is positively related to factors that influence effective micro project development in West Pokot Sub-county.The study also revealed that community perception was positively related not have a significance effect on effective micro project development among farming entrepreneurs in the West Pokot sub-county. Finally, Network system was found to be positively related to factors that influence effective micro project development in West Pokot Sub-county.

Abstract:The study focused on the influence of human capital factors on performance of devolved Governments in South Eastern Kenya region. The specific objective of the study being to establish the influence of employee resourcing on organizational performance of the devolved governments in South Eastern Kenya region. The target population comprised county government of Kitui, Machakos and Makueni senior staff numbering 179 members. A sample size of 59 county officials was randomly selected using stratified simple random sampling techniques. The data was analysed by use of descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings of the study established that there was no statistically significant influence of employee resourcing on performance of Machakos and Makueni county governments. However, employee resourcing had a statistically significant influence on the performance of Kitui county government. The study recommends an improvement in the conduct of employee resourcing to include current trends that include use of softwares to track job applications, development of a mobile recruitment strategy, increase the focus on passive and potential candidates, and a growth in the emphasis for social networks.

Abstract:This paper is an attempt to assess the perceived benefits of an insurance fund to members from. Taking a sample from health workers of a level four hospital in Kisii county data was analyzed using Frequencies, Percentages, means and Standard deviation. Inferential statistics like Chi-squire and ANOVA was also used to test the hypotheses in this study through the use of SPSS. The findings indicated that from the perspectives of health staff, medical insurance cover is beneficial to patients despite the challenges that are encountered by both health staff and members. Also, it revealed that that f-value is less than table value at 5 percent level of significance ((P>0.05), therefore the null hypothesis is accepted. The study concluded that there is a need to provide principal members with more information on the new and introduced coverage.
