Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to have a more in-depth comprehension of how using a variety of different project management approaches may assist businesses in dealing with project completion in a more efficient manner. More specifically, project management is analysed and presented as a positive contribution to insurance and investment organisations for more effective transitions from project management to business-as-usual in the book Navigating Complexity: A Comparative Analysis of Agile and Traditional Project Management Approaches for Enhanced Performance in South Asia's Dynamic Business Landscape. This book focuses on South Asia's rapidly changing business landscape. For the purpose of successfully completing projects, a comprehensive framework incorporates the hybrid approach of Agile and traditional project management within theoretical chapters. It functions as a lens through which the empirical facts may be seen and evaluated. The empirical work is based on a single thorough case study of Intesa Sanpaolo Life dac, which comprised seven semi-structured interviews with the company's most authoritative personnel with respect to the topic of this article. This case study was the basis for the empirical research. This case study investigates the management of project closure by analysing existing issues and determining the positive practises that the company in question has implemented. Throughout the course of the data analysis, the authors were able to bring attention to findings that contribute both managerially and theoretically. The originality and relevance of this research lie in the fact that it seeks to improve project-based companies that make use of a hybrid of Agile and conventional project management but struggle to finish projects and transition to the operational phase. This study intends to improve project-based businesses that make use of Agile and conventional project management. As a consequence of this, this presents an entirely novel viewpoint in the project management literature, which considers project closure to be the phase of the project life-cycle that has received the least amount of research.

Abstract: County fiscal strategy paper sets out the priority programs of administrator to be implemented under the mid-term expenditure framework by taking into account national policies and priorities. Since the advent of devolution in Kenya in 2013, many counties have invariably performed dismally. The executive fiscal strategy paper, a national guideline given to counties was meant to ensure good management of cash, debt and revenue collection in all counties. The question of its efficacy has remained unanswered. This study therefore sought to evaluate the efficacy of executive fiscal strategy paper in management of cash at the county. The study adopted a comparative research design. The study targeted a total of 350 employees (100 from finance and 250 from revenue collection departments) in Bomet, Kericho and Narok County governments from which a sample of 186 (53 from finance and 133 from revenue collection) was selected using purposive and simple random sampling to take part in the study. Out of the 186 questionnaires which were distributed 156 were retuned which translates to 83.9% return rate. Secondary data from the Auditor General’s Report of 2018 was used to compare the performance o f the sample counties. Data was collected by use of questionnaires which was piloted first in Nandi County before final administration and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple regression. The study findings reveal that county government’s have poor cash control structures. The study recommends that the County governments should formulate and implement strategies to enhance absorption of generated cash and that they should establish an Internal Audit Committee in line with Section 155 of the PFM Act,2012

The thesis highlights the strategic importance of the Straits of Malacca and examines the roles of Linggi Base Sdn Bhd and TAG Marine Sdn Bhd in advancing the Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer method and integrated port solutions. Abstract: The thesis, titled Determinants of Safety Culture in the Shipping Industry a Comparative Study of Maritime Companies in ASIA is aimed at assessing and determining the impacts that Asia and global maritime have on liner Safety in the Shipping business performance. In doing so, various documents for literature review were referred from various sources. As a methodology, explanatory research design was used, while quantitative research approach for this study was employed. Data were collected from both primary and secondary sources. Population of the study is maritime business employees. The researcher as a sample design used non probability sampling; specifically purposive one was used. Method of data collection included questioner, interview of the experts from the Enterprise at different levels. Also, responses from the questionnaire were coded and processed by analysis was carried out with both descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of this paper has shown that Asian maritime companies have a number of reasons to form strategic liner alliances. Further Global liner alliances affect Asia maritime Safety in the Shipping business performance from the perspectives of market, operation, strategy and economic points of view, where the test of the correlation test indicted significant and positive relationship. Regression analysis has shown that some variability in Asia maritime Safety in the Shipping industry can be explained by global liner alliances impact. Consequently, Asia maritime efficiency, service delivery and Safety Culture performance have relationship with these factors and get affected. Hence, it is recommended that periodic revision and decision of where Asia should place itself in the sea freight market, particularly the liner one must be given attention. As the trend in maritime Safety in the Shipping business global wise is, long term strategic partnership, Asia should, with further study consider joining such global strategic alliances, to minimize the impacts that are posed by these alliances and hence assure survival in the market, builds competitive advantage and perform better.

Abstract: The extent to which Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) influences exchange rate volatility has progressively become one of the popular issues that economists have devoted their efforts to studying in recent years. In this study, daily and monthly exchange rate data for USD/GBP are selected, and regression analysis using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) estimation model is employed to explore the difference between the impact of EPU and non-economic policies on exchange rate fluctuations. The experimental results indicate that using daily data is more appropriate than monthly data for estimating EPU, and non-policy uncertainty outweighs the impact of EPU on exchange rate volatility. This finding provides important insights into the factors driving exchange rate fluctuations, offering substantial implications for formulating effective economic policies and risk management strategies. These research findings contribute not only to the academic understanding of international financial markets but also serve as a valuable reference for policymakers in better addressing the challenges posed by economic uncertainty on exchange rate stability.

Abstract: The aim of this research is to apply the techniques of Green Target Costing and Activity-Based Budgeting as modern cost management techniques in the Men's Clothing Factory in Najaf Al-Ashraf, which is affiliated with the General Company for Textile Industries in Babil Province. This is done through an integrated approach that aims to achieve competitive advantage. To achieve the research objective, the researcher relied on data obtained through field observation, personal interviews with officials and employees in the factory, as well as data extracted from the factory records when applying the aforementioned techniques. The research has reached a set of conclusions, the most prominent of which is that the integration between Green Target Costing and Activity-Based Budgeting is capable of helping the factory achieve positive results, including cost reduction, increased quality level, reduced response time, increased flexibility, and ultimately achieving competitive advantage.

Abstract: This paper examines the resilience of supply chains between China and Morocco with Morocco's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). requiring a comprehensive understanding of resilience strategies. Focusing on the bilateral trade relationship between China and Morocco, this research delves into the key determinants and challenges influencing supply chain resilience in the context of diverse industries and market conditions, including infrastructure development, transportation networks, trade policies, and risk management strategies. Abstract: This article analyzes the conduct and lives of Nelson Mandela ad Winston Churchill, two charismatic leaders who influenced and shaped global politics and governance. Through comparing and contrasting their self-leadership roles, the article explores the rate at which they implemented various components and examines how their personalities led to success and failures during crises. A comprehensive review of primary and secondary sources is drawn through qualitative research approaches. A famous British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, illustrated exceptional leadership styles during the Second World War. His visionary outlook, resiliency, and stable determination enabled him to rally Britons through his steadfast decision-making procedures and compelling speeches hence the excellency in emotional self-awareness, acknowledging and managing his attitudes and feelings while encouraging citizens. In contrast, his leadership style was intermittently marked by an aversion to compromise the rule of law and stubbornness, thus compromising his ability to overcome post-war challenges effectively. Moreover, Nelson Mandela, an iconic leader, and the revered South African anti-apartheid leader, demonstrated remarkably self-leadership qualities in all his years of struggle for equality and Justice and subsequent presidency. The South African president had extraordinary forgiveness, humility, and commitment to inclusivity demonstrated through self-control, self-awareness, and social awareness. His empathic attributes and societal integration were essential in leading the great nation toward a peaceful transition and reconciliation from the British colonialists to democracy. His steadfast adherence to his principles during immense adversities revealed transformative actions embodying the essence of self-leadership. These leaders faced significant challenges. However, their approaches were different due to their distinguished attributes. Winston Churchill's decisiveness and tenacity influenced Britons morale during the Second World War, and Mandela's ability, willingness, and humility to engage in dialogue improved a sense of healing and unity in post-apartheid South Africa. Therefore, these personal attributes are vital in determining their leadership success and failures. Through a comprehensive analysis, this study contributes to the nuanced understanding of self-leadership and its applications in historical contexts. The lessons from Mandela and Churchill's experiences inform contemporary leaders and encourage them to nurture self-awareness, resilience, empathy, and adaptability, developing effective leadership impact globally.

Abstract: This essay analyzes the roles of various schools of thought in organization theory in determining the challenges they face. It explores various perspectives comprising systems theory, resource dependence theory, human resource theory, institutional theory, strategic choice theory contingency theory, and organizational culture. Each of these schools of thought initiates various insights into organizational structures, dynamics, and procedures thus influencing organizations to identify and address the specific challenges they encounter. In effectively addressing these challenges, an appropriate structure is prescribed entailing communication channels, organizational culture, accountability systems, performance measurements, stakeholder engagement and collaborations accountability systems, and knowledge management. Abstract: The purpose of the study was to assess the implementation of performance management in Jesuit owned institutions. The following objectives informed the research; to determine the influence of performance management process on staff motivation, and to propose measures to improve performance management in Jesuit owned Learning institutions. This research applied a mixed approach that used a descriptive design. The study employed a non-probability purposive sampling on teachers found at St Ignatius College and management. In-depth interviews were done among, Principal, Vice Principal, Heads of Departments, and the Jesuit Provincial office. Data was generated using structured questionnaire, review of documents and interviews. Document analysis was also used to verify documented information that was needed as supportive evidence in the study. It was then analyzed by means of applying thematic analysis techniques based on emerging themes from the study. The study revealed that implementation of performance had commenced with various gaps requiring management attention. The study further revealed that in many instances, the designing, agreeing and reviewing of performance management had gaps including the failure to provide reasonable feedback on the performance of the employees. Thus supervisors preferring to be more subjective in the process to avoid being questioned and at many instances employing central tendency rating methods. The study recommended the need for schools to ensure that the managers and immediate supervisors are empowered and schools to implement consistency performance bonus awards to deserving employees. The study further recommended the need for management to cascade the strategic objectives to the departments for their extraction of performance objectives.

Abstract: Income smoothing as an accounting practices is an earnings management strategy that has continued to attract the attention of Company Board of Directors, the accounting profession and accounting research in recent times. Income smoothing entails the use of financial reporting principles and standards in smoothening fluctuations in earnings. It a theoretical investigate of intervening role of International Financial Reporting Standard on corporate governance and income smoothing. This study conceptually examine specifically the relationship between board size in relation to income smoothing over the intervening role of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS). It is a library type of research by way of conceptual review of extant studies. It employed secondary source of information and were obtained from textbooks, journal articles, seminar papers and the internet. Following the outcomes of various studies reviewed, the study found that much divergence and inconsistent in result such that corporate governance either positive or negative relationship with income smoothing.

Abstract: For landlords to achieve their financial goals concerning property investment, they need to pay attention to tenant risk. This study focuses on the residential rental market in Osogbo, Nigeria, and aims to identify the factors that contribute to tenant risk in this area. The goal is to develop strategies that can help mitigate these risks. The study obtained primary data through a structured questionnaire, which was administered to 32 professional property management firms (firms of estate surveying and valuation) in Osogbo, the study area. Out of the 32 questionnaires, 24 (75%) were returned and considered valid for analysis. Descriptive statistics (Mean Score) was used to analyse the data, and the study found that irresponsiveness to maintenance by tenant; indisposition to subsequent rent payment; neglect of repairs; gross violation of estate rules; default in payment of rates and taxes; and non – payment of service charge among others, are categories of tenant risks experienced in the study area. Moreover, the study established that lack of job or loss of job; economic instability; improper selection of tenant; and death of the tenant who pays rent/bereavement among others, are significant factors of tenant risk. The study revealed that tenant risk has significant implications for all stakeholders involved. Landlords suffer financial losses, tenants risk eviction, and property managers’ professional competence may be questioned, leading to the possible withdrawal of management properties by landlords. This can be a substantial setback for property managers, especially those who depend solely on property management fees. The study recommends thorough screening of tenants and periodic evaluations of the tenancy agreement to ensure compliance by both parties, which are significant strategies for mitigating tenant risk in the residential rental market.

Abstract: The Gujjar, an ancient tribe designated as a Scheduled Tribe in Himachal Pradesh, continue to lead a predominantly nomadic lifestyle even seven decades after India's independence. This study aims to comprehensively examine the socioeconomic dynamics of the Gujjar Tribe in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. A well-structured interview schedule was employed for data collection through direct personal interviews. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools, including the Chi-square test, were utilized to ensure precise analysis and interpretation of the data. The findings reveal a diverse socioeconomic landscape among the Gujjars in Himachal Pradesh. A significant proportion of this community still resides in rudimentary dwellings, relying primarily on limited sources of income, with a heavy dependence on livestock-related activities such as milk production and the sale of dairy products. Agriculture stands as the most prominent source of income. However, the study underscores the insufficient availability of medical facilities within their residential areas, leading to considerable challenges in accessing healthcare. In summary, the Gujjar Tribe in Himachal Pradesh faces a vulnerable socioeconomic situation, necessitating urgent interventions to uplift their living conditions and integrate them into the broader growth trajectory of the nation.
